Unsere Tour ist ausdrücklich als „Wonders of The Colosseum Tour – Exterior Experience“ ausgeschrieben. Es handelt sich um eine Führung rund um das Kolosseum, nicht um eine Innenbesichtigung. Der Besuch des Inneren ist bei dieser Tour nicht enthalten und wird auch nicht als Bestandteil der Leistung angeboten. Daher ist die Aussage „Das Kolosseum haben wir nicht mal gesehen“ irreführend. Die gesamte Tour findet direkt am Kolosseum statt und unser Guide erklärt die wichtigsten Bereiche und die Geschichte des Bauwerks von außen. Eine Bewertung mit einem Stern aufgrund einer nicht angebotenen Innenbesichtigung entspricht daher nicht der tatsächlich gebuchten Leistung.

This review is not an accurate representation of what happened. Our representative was present at the designated meeting point at 9:30 AM, the scheduled time of the tour, holding the Arena Tours sign and waiting for the guests. The meeting point and instructions are clearly provided with the booking. There was also a phone number provided with the booking, as well as the option to contact us directly through Viator. However, the only message we received from the guest through Viator was sent at 3:52 PM — more than six hours after the scheduled tour time. Had the guests contacted us at 9:30 AM, either by phone or through Viator, we would have been more than happy to assist them in locating the meeting point or our representative. We therefore cannot understand the claim that no Arena Tours representative arrived. Our representative was there at the scheduled time, and no attempt was made to contact us during the time of the tour.

We are unable to understand this review, as it does not reflect what happened at our meeting point. Our representatives are there specifically to check guests’ bookings and assist them before the tour starts. If you had approached our representative and shown your booking confirmation or provided any details about your reservation, we would have been able to verify it and assist you. We have no record of a guest being refused entry to the tour simply because a confirmation email had not arrived. Had you approached our representative and presented any information regarding your booking, you would have been welcomed onto the tour. Unfortunately, we do not know who you spoke with, as no one from our team was given the opportunity to check or resolve the situation.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the pace of the tour. Our guide is knowledgeable and experienced, and we are glad you recognized that during the experience. Regarding the start time, our guides are instructed to arrive before the scheduled departure, and we take punctuality seriously. The tour is designed to provide a detailed explanation of the Colosseum and its history within a limited amount of time, but we agree that guests should have the opportunity to ask questions along the way. We will take your comment regarding the pace into consideration and remind our guides to allow more time for interaction with the group.

Thank you for your review. However, we would like to clarify an important point regarding your experience. You originally booked our “Wonders of The Colosseum Tour – Exterior Experience in Rome”, which is specifically an exterior guided tour in English and does not include entrance to the Colosseum. When you arrived at the meeting point, you were offered an optional upgrade to join our guided Colosseum tour inside, at an additional cost of €50 per person. You accepted this option. Therefore, once you chose to upgrade to the interior experience, the service you experienced was the interior Colosseum tour rather than the originally booked exterior experience. The original tour was not cancelled or replaced without your consent — the change was made following your decision to take the optional upgrade. We are therefore unsure what you mean by saying that you “never experienced” the trip you paid for, as the interior tour was provided as the upgraded experience you chose.

Les clients ont réservé notre « Wonders of The Colosseum Tour – Exterior Experience in Rome », qui est une visite guidée extérieure du Colisée en anglais. L’entrée à l’intérieur du Colisée n’est pas incluse, ce qui est clairement indiqué dans la description de l’expérience. Lorsqu’ils sont arrivés au point de rendez-vous, nous leur avons proposé, de manière totalement optionnelle, de rejoindre une visite guidée du Colisée à l’intérieur, car nous avions deux places disponibles dans un petit groupe de six personnes. Les 50 € par personne correspondaient à cette visite supplémentaire et ne constituaient en aucun cas un paiement supplémentaire pour le service qu’ils avaient déjà réservé. Les 18 € mentionnés dans cet avis correspondent au prix du billet d’entrée simple et non à celui d’une visite guidée du Colisée avec accompagnement. Une note d’une étoile fondée sur une mauvaise compréhension de ce qui a été réservé ne constitue donc pas une représentation juste du service proposé.

This review is misleading. The tour you booked is explicitly an exterior experience and does not include admission tickets to the Colosseum. This is clearly stated in the tour title, description, and booking information before purchase. You chose to cancel because the experience did not include something that was never advertised as included. The weather conditions in Rome are obviously outside our control and are not a valid reason to rate a tour one star, particularly when you did not actually participate in the tour. A one-star review based on an expectation that directly contradicts the product description is simply unfair and does not reflect the quality of the experience we provide.

Vi vil gerne præcisere nogle unøjagtigheder i denne anmeldelse. I købte ikke 2 billetter til Colosseum, men bookede 2 pladser på vores guidede tur. Guiden var til stede på det angivne mødested på det planlagte tidspunkt. Hvis I havde problemer med at finde guiden eller mødestedet, var der både et telefonnummer og mulighed for at kontakte os direkte via Viator. Desværre modtog vi først jeres besked omkring kl. 17.30, selvom jeres tur var planlagt til kl. 14.30 – altså cirka tre timer efter turens starttidspunkt. Hvis I havde kontaktet os på det planlagte tidspunkt, ville vi naturligvis have hjulpet jer med det samme med at finde guiden.
