Im a solo traveller and came to Habarana to experience a safari -and what an experience ! Deca picked me up from the hotel amd took me to places away from the other jeeps- the tranquility was special, the bird life, crocodiles and of course elephants - with a magnificent sunset!

Hurulu safari park - thumbs up
We did the 3 hour safari at Huluru. We saw loads of Elephants, birds, buffalo and deer. The walk up to and view from the observation tower was nice to stretch our legs and take in the park. The drivers take you really close to the animals but are also respectful of their space. It’s a bumpy ride but having the open roof makes it easy to get some great photos. Recommend taking a 100-400mm lens for this trip, sunscreen, water and a big shady hat.
