Learning the history of Oxford University and its many colleges was a highlight for me. I loved the historical facts the guide gave that are not known to the average visitor. Alex E. Was a great guide and such an amazing historian!
This was a great tour of the heart of Oxford and some of the University landmarks. Our guide was a ph.d. student and we learned about his research. The tour is full of facts and insights. It is well worth it. One note: The students are in their 20's and walk faster than us in our 60's but you can tell them to slow down.
This tour exceeded our expectations! Ross was our guide and he was the so knowledgeable of the area and the history, but all his little added stories (including his own experiences) was what made the tour even better. He is a brilliant storyteller, and even went out of his way to suggest a few quirky things to do (and why) after the tour. You can’t get that from googling Oxford. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children, and all loved the experience. Highly recommend.

I wanted to take a moment to officially share my feedback about the two-hour free walking tour I joined in Oxford today, guided by Sam. Sam’s knowledge of Oxford’s history, architecture, and hidden details was genuinely impressive. He had a fascinating story or fact ready for nearly every corner we passed, and it was clear he has a deep, well-researched understanding of the city. What really set the tour apart, though, was his sense of humor. He kept the group engaged and laughing throughout, without ever losing the informative substance of the tour. It takes real skill to balance depth of knowledge with genuine entertainment, and Sam managed it effortlessly. Thank you for a wonderful tour experience!

Alex E was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing and hearing about the history inside the university.
Disappointing, honestly. I did not learn very much about the history of the buildings etc. The guide only told a bit about the university application process, not really anything else. We only entered the Divinity School + 1 small church. We did not enter other buildings, only from the outside. I could have walked around in the city by myself. This was not announced beforehand, so it was disappointing that we did not get to see them on the day.
William was our guide and was very friendly, helpful, and had great knowledge of Oxford and its universities. Highly recommended.
