All the crew from the bus drivers and the crew on both boats had very good knowledge on the history and nature around the area. Had a great time with plenty of room on board to see everything and get loads of photos. Recommend doing this trip.

The whole day was wonderful. There is a coffee shop in town and also at the jetty to pick up lunch . Acces was easy, the boats and bus comfortable. And the views amazing. A great day.

The Doubtful Sound Cruise exceeded my expectations and then some. It can be hard to tell from photos just how tall and spectacular the fjord sides will be - they tower above you, sheer and spectacular! There's good food and drink aplenty in the boats, the bus ride in between is a fun way to break up the day, the guides are entertaining and informative - you even pass by a hydro power plant on the way, plenty to geek out over! It rained for much of the day for me but that was no trouble at all, plenty of cover available within the boats or on the covered second decks, and all the rain simply meant for thousands of extra waterfalls along the way. Can heartily recommend this experience, worth every minute's drive to get there - quicker and cheaper than a trip to Norway, and I'd be surprised if Norway could do fjords better!

This was an absolutely magical day. The bus driver, Ian, was great. The two boat trips were stunning. Monsters of mountains shrouded in mist, waterfalls, snow capped mountains.

Well worth the price. Really smooth transfers from lake boat to coach bus to doubtful sound cruise boat. Awesome day out

Overall, I was a little bit dissapointed with the experience. The coach driver Andrea was excellent and the coach to Te Anau and from Te Anau was the highlight, shes outstanding. Alex the ferry driver from Manopouri also very good. What was dissapointing was the guide, you coudnt get away from constant interruptions once in Doubtful Sound and a lot it from Simon was waffle. But the worst part was the drivers decision to go out to the Tasman sea. It was very rough and had people not being paying attention, would have been dangerous. Yet the staff seem to ravel in the rough conditions by all going out to the bow of the ship. It gave the cruise a loose approach and if I wanted to get slapped around I would have booked on the shot over jet.

Lovely guides on both boats and the bus, gorgeous views at every step of the journey. It was raining the day I went so there were many temporary waterfalls along the sound, just beautiful!

Absolutely stunning, and great service from the very first moments on arrival! We were greeted, had a little cafe, a beautiful cruise down the lake with commentary, a lovely coach ride with scenic stops in the way to the sound, and cruising through Doubtful Sound was breathtaking. We had commentary on the history and sites throughout. I highly recommend this full day excursion!

Absolutely fantastic experience all around! I was a bit worried we wouldn’t see much in the torrential downpour the morning started with, but the waterfalls were stunning and it was very comfortable. All the staff were lovely, our bus driver was hilarious, and I was so fulfilled by the day I fell asleep on the way home! Highly recommend this experience, it’s been on my bucket list to see the Fiordlands and I’m so glad I ended up on this trip rather than Milford Sound, it was so beautiful and remote and peaceful!
