The morning was wonderful. Standing stones and the Culloden moor. The problem came after that. Went to Beauly for lunch but if was Sunday. Nothing was open although there was one place but you needed reservations. Lunch ends up being buying sandwiches from the market and eating them on a bench in the parking lot waiting for bus to return. We paid for this experience. 🤐. Then off to glen afric. Not worth it. It had been a rainy day and in order to see anything you needed to walk up a lot of slippery steps or down a bunch of slippery steps. I did neither due to a bad knee so sat at a picnic table waiting to leave. The afternoon was a waste and I can’t believe we paid for that. Morning was awesome and they should stick with a half day tour.

Our guide Charlie was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and jolly! We learned lot about each stop as well as Scottish history.

Charlie was an exceptional tour guide. He was amusing and informative, even taught us a little Gaelic. Hahahaha! We had plenty of time to experience Clara Cairns and learn some history as well as Outlander trivia, then visit Culloden. We had an extra stop to visit some highland coos on our way to Glen Affric where we had some beautiful hiking and views. Rabbie tours and Charlie are a must experience. Had a blast.

This was a great tour. Our tour guide gave us so much information about each stop. Well worth the time.

Loved Clara Cairns and Culloden but definitely wished we had more time at Culloden. I don’t know if there is a better way to manage all the tour groups descending on these sites at the same time but both places were crowded with groups when we were there. At Culloden, I had to rush through the museum so I could have time to walk the battlefield, which didn’t really matter because the museum was so crowded I couldn’t get close to most of the exhibits anyway. Walking Culloden moor was well worth it though. You could get away from everyone and hear the ghosts whispering. I enjoyed seeing Beuly Priory as well but could have done without hiking around Ben Afric in the rain. I would recommend that as a separate hiking oriented trip so those who are not interested in hiking can have more time engulfed in history.

Really great tour with our excellent guide Liam. The tour is well paced with longish stops with mostly short stretches of driving. Liam was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind, making sure everyone was ok and enjoying themselves, even handing out midge repellant at Glen Affric. He genuinely was enthusiastic, a great story teller, and made the tour very enjoyable. Best part of the trip for me was Glen Affric- some amazing views and plenty of time to get some walks in. Culloden was interesting if sobering and Beauly was a nice place to have lunch. Also squeezed in Clava Cairns and Loch Ness.

Wonderful stops, beautiful scenery and windy roads. The walk along the river at Affric Glen was a highlight of our holiday!

Do not miss the opportunity to hear the history of Scottish conquests and see the battlefield of Culloden as well as see the sites that inspired the Outlander book and series. The highlight for me was the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve. We climbed up to the summit and hiked down to the rapids. Listening to Scottish music in between places made the day even more of a special memory! Charlie was the best driver guide we could possibly have had. He truly put effort into making sure everyone was enjoying our time together!

Our guide Amy was perfect! Incredible driver, so knowledgeable and her accent was easy to understand, so we learned a lot. Her choice of music was also wonderful. Culloden and Glen Affric were incredible experiences and the highland coos were a lovely surprise :)

Excellent tour with a very good guide. The only change I would have liked would have been an extra 20 mins at Culloden as it was so interesting.
