I went on this tour my first full day in Singapore to get an idea of what food to eat and where to get it. Gerry did an excellent job taking me to places I might normally look over, talking about the history of the different sections of Singapore, and answering all my questions! Gerry is also a very likeable and funny guy. I enjoyed our conversation on music. Would highly recommend as an intro to food in Singapore!

As I sit here after our vacation to Singapore and Indonesia and reflect on our entire trip, I can honestly say that this tour has the loudest voice in my head. It was completely amazing—so well thought out, with the perfect balance of history, culture, city touring, and, of course, food. As others have mentioned, there was SO much food. Our wonderfully small tour group of three genuinely wondered how we could possibly eat it all! But, as others have also mentioned, the leftover food in Chinatown was given to the elders there—all of whom seemed to know Gerry. And Gerry. What can I even say? Such a personable, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable tour guide. He will forever be remembered in our family as a complete Ron Burgundy-level legend. There was literally not a question we asked or a request we made that he couldn’t—or didn’t—answer. After the tour, he sent us a complete guide to everything we had eaten and everywhere we had gone, which was such a thoughtful touch. We actually used it to return to the hawker center and finish our last day in Singapore there. It’s hard not to have an amazing experience when your guide is so genuinely passionate and knowledgeable about what he does. I also feel completely confident that I could text Gerry right now with a random question about something we ate and he’d answer me right back. There should be zero doubt about booking this tour.. What you eat, see, and learn will stay with you long after you leave Singapore. For us, it became one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip—and one I know we’ll be talking about many years from now.

Gerry was absolutely phenomenal. He is a real local that provides deep insight into the different parts of Singapore. It really shows how much he cares about his community and wants to show it to others. The selection of different dishes was massive. I would say it is the best way to have a crash course on Singapore food culture when you visit. I highly recommend his tour.

Brilliant tour. Gerry was an awesome guide. Great personality and really knowledgeable. The food was amazing and we got to speak to the restaurant owners which was a bonus. The Chinese hawker centre was a highlight.

Seriously—stop what you’re doing and book this experience before anything else on your Singapore itinerary! Gerry was absolutely fantastic. He was warm, personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the entire experience so much fun. We explored Chinatown, Little India, and the Arab Quarter, and along the way we got to try so many incredible foods from local hawker stalls. Gerry introduced us to dishes and flavors we never would have thought to try on our own, while also explaining the history and culture behind what we were seeing and eating. What I loved most was that this wasn’t just a food tour—it was a real introduction to Singapore through the eyes of someone who knows and loves the city. By the end of the tour, we felt like we understood so much more about the different cultures that make Singapore such a special place. It also gave us a great foundation for the rest of our trip because we knew what foods to look for and had a much better appreciation for the neighborhoods we visited afterward. If you love food, culture, history, and learning from a local, I cannot recommend Gerry enough. Had a wonderful time with Gerry our ambassador on this food tour. He is extremely knowledgeable on Singapore history and was able to incorporate it’s history along the way. The group was small which made the experience very interactive and fun. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommended this tour.

Gerry was an awesome guide! He picked us up at our hotel a few minutes early and gave us his undivided attention for the next six hours. His deep, personal knowledge of Singapore’s hawker stalls, food, culture, and history was amazing. I was a little skeptical when I booked this tour, but I have absolutely no regrets.
