Tour operator, Hirokane-San, and guide, Hama-San, were professional and thorough. They made sure that our tour went smoothly from start to finish. We appreciated Hama-san's use of visual aids, especially for the grandkids, that will help us remember our time in Shimizu. They, and the driver, accomodated our use of a portable wheelchair. This tour was an excellent way for us to experience the best of Shimizu.

Mokoto was a great high energy guide who speaks great English. The van was brand new and very comfortable. Would recommend.

This was a great tour. We learned so much and appreciated the efficient, comfortable van ride to all the points we stopped at. This was a great way to see the beach, ride the gondola, see a tea farm and Kunozan Toshogu which is a beautiful and important shrine. This is the best way to see the area as part of a cruise stop. Much better than a ship excursion

Really great, well organised tour. Hirokane the manager was in touch well before to give details of the meeting place and we were met by him, the guide Motoko and a driver with a nice air conditioned vehicle. Motoko was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide and kept us well informed and entertained with quizzes and jokes. We went on a cable car to a beautiful shrine, viewed the city from a viewing platform and also pretended to pick tea leaves. Managed to see Mt Fuji from the beach near the pine forest. A really lovely tour all round. Thank you Motoko and Hirokane.

Our guide Hiroko was amazing! She personalized our excursion and made it an unforgettable experience.

The guide met us early in a private van. The guide knew a lot of local history. We saw Mt Fuji from a lookout and from a beautiful black sand beach. We took a aerial tram to a beautiful shrine of the shogun that united Japan. We even saw the grave of his devoted horse and marveled about the energy to build the castle. Beautiful ending to the final stop in Japan.

Motomo and her driver greeted us with warmth, just steps from our small cruise ship. The quiz with visuals was a very fun way to learn culture, pronunciation, lore, history, topography, etc. It made for a quick drive to each destination, too. Her enthusiasm for sharing Shimizu area sights and fabulous views of Mt Fuji made us feel very welcomed. She clearly enjoys her job. Highly recommend. Booking and communication before our tour were top notch, with quick responses. We appreciated being a group of 4 getting to see the sights with personal guidance. Thank you! We had wonderful guides throughout Japan, yet Motomo was our favorite.

Motoko met us promptly at the exit from the cruise ship. Her English is impeccable and she is so knowledgeable about Shimizu and its surrounds. Her enthusiasm about what she described to us was a wonderful bonus. We learned so much!! She had the timing set perfectly so that we were able to see and do everything before the large crowds arrived. Motoko was kind enough to take some photos on her own phone and send them to us. Being able to see Mt Fuji from several different vantage points was a plus. Our vehicle was perfectly clean and our driver polite and courteous. We would strongly recommend this excursion without hesitation. (Be sure to have some mandarin ice cream while at the Nihondaira Ropeway!) Thank you Motoko!! Wonderful day with our guide Hero and driver. We were picked up at the port and off to see the important sites as outlined online. Hero surprised us with a box of green tea cookies at the end of our tour. He is a very kind man who provided a wonderful tour. Highly recommend.
