This was our first tour to Hydra Island with this company and our tour guide Panayiotis. His knowledge of Greece and Greek Mythology ate unmatched. More importantly his personality, humor and stories elevated this experience to another level so much so that we requested him for our second tour to Aegina Island. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and the beauty and history of Hydra Island. Would highly recommend this tour company if you want to experience a wonderful 8 hour private tour. Thanks Panayiotis for making our trips unforgettable.

Panayiotis hosted our Hydra Island tour. On our way to the port, he gave great advice on ordering fish on the menu at restaurants, which set the tone for the day. We enjoyed our time in Hydra, and much of the credit goes to his effort, from the comfortable drive to the port, ticket purchase and ferry seats, the ride to Hydra, and the island tour itself. His restaurant recommendation for lunch was spot-on. He was able to secure us a table at the balcony. The food was good. Thank you for making our day enjoyable.

Theo, with Eudaimonion, whom we booked through Get Your Guide, provided a perfect experience for our private day-long tour. His friendliness, local knowledge, and efficiency made for a relaxed, delightful excursion. Highly recommended!

From pick up to delivery, Panayiotis was a charming host for our visit to Hydra. His genuine interest in our visit to Greece was evident with the detailed tips he offered involving every aspect of our travel plans. For example: he not only helped us build a pathway to a challenging destination, including stops along the way for coffee & lunch breaks, sharing “how to drive” in Greece was also emphasized. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Hydra and much of the credit goes to our host’s efforts from the comfortable drive to the port, ticket purchase - seating - ride - to Hydra, tour of the island, restaurant recommendation for lunch (the food was fabulous). Our smooth return on the ferry, with future trip planning, and a safe drive back to our hotel was a perfect day.

The day trip with guide Nikos went well. He came right on time to pick me up from my hotel. He bought the boat tickets ahead of time and planned the trip well. Hydra is a beautiful island. Nikos and I walked around the island. We walked extensively in the island to see many beautiful things. Took lot of pictures. One thing I might suggest for improvement. The cost of the trip doesn’t include the cost of the boat ride to/from Greece. Although the site mentions this, but it’s located in a separated tab one must click. I am sure there are many people like me who didn’t look carefully and assumed the boat ride cost is included. I would suggest make this information visible easily.

Loved our trip to Hydra. Everything was so smooth from hotel pickup, ferry ride, to our time on the island. Hydra is such a relaxing place. Theo was awesome and helped us understand the history and the sites to see. I highly recommend!

My family actually did 3 separate day tours with Eudaimonia-- the Nafplio, the Hydra Island, and the Delphi. Originally, I had planned 2 of the 3 tours with another company because at a quick glance, the other company was "cheaper." About a week out from our arrival, Eudaimonia's company manager, Nikkos, emailed me to inform me that there would be a nationwide transportation strike on the day of our Hydra Island tour, and thus, no boat to take us from Athens. He offered multiple alternatives including a full refund. This immediately impressed me. It was clear that my family having a pleasant trip and good experience was more important to Nikkos than taking our money. I cancelled our reservations with the other company and proceeded to book all our tours with Nikkos, even our airport transfers! The customer service Nikkos provided was top-notch. He made it possible for me to text him (and his guides) back and forth. The responses were nearly instant and around the clock despite the time difference from California. In the past 5 years, my family and I have traveled about twice a year, often including at least one private tour. I can say with confidence that the service we experienced with Nikkos and his team is superior. Theo took us to the Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Nafplio, and Epidaurus. His academic background in archaeology provided us with a detailed, informative tour while still engaging us in conversation and not boring my 14-year old teenager. I was actually under the weather from jet lag and something I had eaten. Theo was very accommodating, constantly checking if I was feeling better and asking if I needed anything. He took us to a delicious lunch in Nafplio, which instantly made us regret having done a mediocre food tour the day before with another company. Panayiotis took us to Hydra Island. Forget Santorini and Mykonos. This is a must-see-- so beautiful, relaxed, no cars! As a guide, Panayiotis was very personable, providing us with history and just the right dose of his own opinion. His humor and honesty made it feel like we were spending the day with a friend we had known for years. He also guided us to a restaurant for lunch and ordered for us before leaving to run an errand-- which turned out to be picking up traditional Greek treats for us to take home. Again, a delicious meal! And we had the perfect view of the water and port. On our last day, Nikkos himself took us to Delphi and the Hosios Loukas Monastery. Another perfect day with another delicious lunch. Like Theo and Panayiotis, Nikkos provided an informative tour without overwhelming us with facts and history. All 3 men also took the time to get to know my family of three and allowed us to get to know them. They always made sure to include my 14 year old daughter and ask her opinions. Logistically, it would have made more sense to book a multi-day tour just to avoid all the driving back and forth from Athens. However, in hindsight, we don't know that we would have changed anything because the 3 separate day tours allowed us to meet 3 guides, who while totally different in personalities, all were an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. They gave us beautiful memories of Greece to take home, which at the end of the day, is totally priceless. THANK YOU, Theo, Panayiotis, and Nikkos!!! 🥰

Our contact Nikos was very responsive and gave us very useful and relevant advice on our trip planning in our first trip to Greece. Every time I asked questions, the responses came very timely and clear. Since our travel days in Greece were very short, we end up taking only one day tour, but if we had longer time in Greece, we would have joined their tours covering longer days. On the tour day, our driver/guide Panayiotis was also outstanding. We really enjoyed spending time with him. He was not only knowledgeable but also friendly and nice to be with. He answered my questions related to history, culture, food, politics and more. We learned a lot. We are very happy to learn that he really enjoys what he does. The company offers only what they believe is meaningful to the guests. Really customer-oriented company. Hydra Island is very beautiful. We were able to spend 3.5 hours within the island. IF we had taken more popular 3-island-in-1-day cruise tour, we would not have fallen in love with this Hydra island as much as we did. It is really beautiful, picturesque and filled with many small things that you find only by walking without being rushed. As we walked slowly through the stone-paved path along the coastline and in the town looking up hills, we saw many different aspects of the island. The itinerary was perfect. I have no hesitation to join the tour by Eudamonia Private tours next time we visit Greece.

It was my first trip to Hydda Island; I didn’t know it would be the most perfect island hideaway! It was so picturesque but without the crowds of the more popular tourist places like Mykonos or Santorini. It was love at first sight! Plus, I had the best guide anyone could have ever asked for, Panayiotis! He was not only knowledgeable about the island, he was also very attentive, considerate, and protective of me, specially since I was alone on this trip. He would ask me my preferences every step of the way, and he would adjust the schedule accordingly. I wanted to take a lot of pictures, and he patiently and willingly became my official photographer for the day!🥰 It was indeed a memorable trip for me, and I hope to be back in Hydra Island again soon❤️
