Traveling Italy as a group of six friends and wanted a fun cooking experience. We saw this one on TikTok and it looked like a great time. Spoiler alert: it was not. First, it’s about a 30 minute ride from the pickup location. You get to fit snuggly into the pick-up van with about 30 other people. When we got there we were immediately rushed through getting “dressed” in our apron and chef hats by the host Cristiano and his mother and aunt. He then began rapid-firing info on how to make red sauce and became mad when we did not immediately answer him. When one older lady had trouble understanding his question he became annoyed and asked in front of everyone, “Do you even speak English?” Very rude in my opinion. It was down hill after that. We were all rushed through “cooking” gnocchi, eggplant Parmesan and tiramisu. Our hands on portion was very minimal as we could not move fast enough for Cristiano and he became annoyed when we didn’t do things perfectly, although the whole reason we were there was to learn how to cook some Italian dishes! They don’t serve wine throughout the process, only when we all sat down to eat. The overall vibe felt like they wanted us out of there asap. At the end we had to meet in the kitchen to get our certificate for the wine class… which was really just a chance to get 10 euro per person out of us to pay for the transportation to their cooking class. They also were trying to sell everyone their olive oil and limoncello. Worst part for my friends and I was watching Cristiano (who looks around 40yrs old) continually hit on the very young girls in the class and make them uncomfortable. For a price tag north of $150 USD I urge everyone to avoid this class!

Wonderful experience! We booked our class last minute the night before and were very happy with our choice! Cristiano was hilarious, upbeat and personable. He made the whole experience worth it. Highly recommend going for the 5pm class to catch the sunset off their family homes kitchen terrace!

We had such a wonderful experience with Christiano and his mother Teresa! The best activity of our trip and would highly recommend to all!

We left with mixed feelings. We did have fun and the mains (eggplant parmigiana and gnocchi alla Sorrentina) felt very authentic to us. The tiramisu, however, tasted like an offense to the italien cousine. For the cream, they used half whipped cream instead of all mascarpone and it tasted like American cake frosting: overly sweet, artificial and oddly stiff. My partner and I are Europeans and we felt like some parts of the cooking class were very centered on American customers (we were the only Europeans in our class). Also, the class size is way bigger than in the pictures. We were more than 20 people in one class, which I think is way too many if you take into consideration the price of the experience.

My husband and I had so much fun at this cooking class! Cristiano was charismatic and fun. His family was lovely, they were so helpful and taught us a lot. Their home is beautiful and we enjoyed learning how to cook traditional Italian dishes.
