Awesome Adventure!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time on this experience! Luis and his Uncle Aureilo were great hosts! This is a truly fun and unique adventure! We rode horses through a national park, which was exciting! Then we stopped at a small restaurant in the woods were we learned to make delicious salsas. The chef prepared for us tacos, enchiladas, sopas and gorditas. Everything was delicious! I absolutely recommend this experience. You'll have a great time!!

The best tour I had in Mexico City

If I could give this tour 100 stars I would. This was hands-down my favorite experience while visiting Mexico City. Luis picked us up at our hotel and took us to his uncles home where we saddled up and rode through town to the mountains. The views from the mountains were beautiful. Uncle Aurelio is a true charro and taught us how to handle the horse and walked alongside us the entire way. I don’t have too much experience riding horses, but I felt completely comfortable on the horse even with the language barrier between us. We tied up the horses and walked to a beautiful spring side town where we learned how to make salsa and tortillas with the owners of a small café. I thought I had great food inside the city however, the food at the café where we had the cooking class was the best tacos I had the entire trip. I’m from Texas and I’ve had good Mexican food before, but this was out of this world. We’re still dreaming of the tortillas we had. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. My husband and I were there celebrating our anniversary. Luis surprised us with a cake and a firework candle. It was so thoughtful and made for a truly special excursion.

Best Horseback Riding ever.

This was one the best tours we have ever done. Luis picked us up from our hotel on time and took us to his family house where we met his uncle Aurelio and his wife, who made us some delicious coffee. Aurelio is an expert about horses. We learned a lot about horses and riding them. Then Aurelio took us to the most amazing tour under tall pine trees and lots of greenery with a beautiful river full of water, amazing waterfalls, just a very peaceful and breathtaking place. After the ride we stop by for luch that was just amazing. Thank you Luis and Aurelio. You guys are amazing.

Engaging, intimate, fun experience! Worth the price!

10/10 experience. Book with Luis directly on his website- NOT aviator. All the reviews were right. You can see the glow of passion in Luis’ eyes when he speaks of his grandmother and especially her cooking. I only wish I learned this sooner and could live in the mountains where we cooked. Luis brought his own cowboy boots with spare boots for the male visitors, and myself and another woman received traditional Mexican flowers on our horseback ride. It was small since it was only 4 of us riding, intimate, and special. We rode on Día de los Muertos. It was the perfect length, as just as we were getting sore, the ride ended and we made our way to the cooking class. Luis was a thorough and friendly guide through and through. He explained each ingredient and how to cook each one to make the perfect salsa. We even included crickets in the red salsa! It actually was delicious!! I made some tortillas using the copal, a traditional tortilla maker, and made my first perfect tortilla on the stovetop. The views, people, children, and volunteers who walked alongside us all made it memorable. I can’t wait to be back- hopefully for my own riding lesson and to volunteer to help with the horses. ❤️☀️ Gracias Luis.

The best day ever!

I had the absolute best time ever on the horse back riding + cooking class experience.
The day I had my tour, I was the only person and I showed up to the cutest coffee shop at the meet up spot. I met Luis and we drove to his uncle’s ranch. Luis and Aurelio are the most respectful, sweetest, knowledge charros ever! The horse back riding tour was 2 hours long and the views were beautiful. I have ridden horses in the states and Caribbean all my life, but riding here is different and Luis was able to teach me some basics during the 2 hours. He is a great communicator and the horses are very well trained. I felt safe on the horse, but also under the guidance of Luis. We met up with Aurelio at a beautiful restaurant and the horses went back to the ranch. Luis taught me how to make 3 different salsas; I had no clue how much time and love were put into salsas. We then made fresh tortillas for tacos! I would not only recommend experiences with Luis and Aurelio a million times, but when I come back I will be doing more tours + learning how to ride from them. Gracias Luis and Aurelio!!

Mexican Charro for a Day

This was a 10/10 experience and the highlight of our trip. Luis and his family welcomed us immediately. The cost is reasonable especially considering all you get to see and do. You start the journey by riding through a small village in the mountainside of CDMX unlike anywhere in the city that we saw otherwise and cook/eat at another very cool village. The horseback riding certainly is not sugar coated and made easier and we truly felt like Mexican charros going up the steep mountain and over rivers, bridges, etc. This was unlike anything else we did in Mexico City and felt very authentic.

An amazing experience

I don't know where to start but all I can say is that Louis was awesome from start to finish, his tour was excellent! He made sure on the tour that everyone was safe, comfortable & having a good time 😁 from the horseback riding to the cooking class, everything was perfect 👌🏻👍🏻 I would definitely book his tour again, not only because it was so good but because I feel like I made a lifelong friend, if you want to have a knowledgeable & fun tour guide, Louis is someone that I would highly recommend 😊

Do NOT miss this experience! Rich in culture, adventure and family 1,000/10 stars

This was truly the most authentic cultural excursion I have ever done. Luis and his family teach you so much about their culture, riding horses, and cooking. This is worth the trip to Mexico City alone! Do not miss out on this amazing experience. Luis and his entire family made us feel so welcome and truly like a part of the family from the start of the day all the way to the end. I cannot recommend this trip any higher, I would fly back to Mexico City just to do this again tomorrow!

CDMX has more than you know!

10/10 I think most people don’t realize everything that Mexico City has to offer. This experience opened my eyes. Just 45 minutes away from the city center. I was riding a horse through a national park under a tree canopy. We ran into a man hurting goats, we saw a few wild horses frolicking in the meadow and we walked over a beautiful river. It was a day I’ll never forget.
