The pick up time was an issue for all groups on this tour. The confirmation email and a follow up email had times that varied by 15-30 min. For example, our confirmation said pick up at 8:30, but the driver was there at 8:15 and proceeded to tell us how late we were and have delayed him. The following two couples had the same issue. The first couple that was picked up told us they were expecting to be collected at 8:00 but only got picked up at 8:35. Not a great start to the day. The tour guide spoke a lot during the tour, with a lot of nonsensical musing about things not related to the destination. We tuned out about 20 minutes in to the 1 hour drive from Cape Town to Stellenbosch. The wineries we visited varied from the itinerary on our confirmation. We booked to see Zewenwacht and Weltevreden. But on the tour we went to Zewenwacht and Marianne which was not great. My partner does not eat meat that’s why I specifically booked two estates that offer a cheese pairing and not the biltong pairing at Marianne. Overall, a subpar experience and we’d be unlikely to recommend to others.

While guides may occasionally arrive earlier and check if guests are ready to depart, guests should never feel pressured or blamed for following their confirmed time. We also apologise that the winery selection differed from your confirmed itinerary, particularly given your preference for cheese pairings. Wineries may occasionally change due to operational requirements or the guide’s discretion, but we acknowledge that this should have been communicated more clearly. It turned out to be a private tour. Our guide/driver Zain was very knowledgeable and attentive. The first winery Zevenwacht - we had a tour of the cellar - very interesting, then tasting of 4 different wines, paired with cheese. Highly recommended! The second winery Marianne- beautiful views, but no tour of the cellar, tasted 4 wines, paired with dried meat from sori h ok, kudu and beef. The Florial wine was exceptional.

The tour company took the booking but contacted me a few minutes later to say the tour did not have enough people to go. I had to spend part of my vacation trying to figure out how to contact TripAdvisor to tell them the company had canceled and ask for a refund. Can't recommend the tour company, and it would be really helpful if TripAdvisor had better contact info available to users.

My wife and I took this half-day Stellenbosch tour on the day that we were scheduled to depart Cape Town. Our guide was Rob Martin, who was a real delight, knowledgeable and interesting. If you take this tour, I would highly recommend that you request Rob as your guide. He picked us up timely at our hotel in the morning (in fact, he was there earlier than scheduled) and after a wonderful tour of Stellenbosch and two wineries (all that we had time for), he got us back to our hotel in plenty of time to collect our suitcases and get to the airport for our flight.

We wished to arrange a 1/2 day trip to Stellenbosch from Cape Town to see the town and test the wines. Early 8.30 pick up from hotel was excellent and we met our driver/guide Jackie. Small group of 7 people.. 40 minute drive to first vineyard and we enjoyed our first sampling of 4 wines and cheeses. Then drive through Stellenbosch before visiting the second vineyard. Back at hotel by 13.30. Excellent trip when time is limited in Cape Town. Jackie was outstanding.

Amazing winery tour! Raegan was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fun stories. The wines were excellent, the scenery beautiful, and the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!
