Our guide Genevieve (“Gen”) was great. She was a lot of fun in addition to being knowledgeable. We went to 5 different places, tasting a wide variety of dishes, all in the Old City. We learned some history along the way. Gen was also great at getting the group engaged with each other. She also took pictures at our stops and sent them to us. The most memorable part of the trip was learning about “Tiguidou”, a Quebec City toast alternative to Sante. When my friend toasted saying Tiguidou in Montreal, we had half of the staff laughing. It was a phrase they had not heard in a long time but which evoked good memories from their pasts.

Sebastian was an amazing guide, food was amazing! Each stop on the route gave us great ideas of places to eat locally on our own. All the restaurants were gracious hosts. Sebastian was able to provide us with history of the restaurant and the area ! It’s like we got 2 tours in one. He even ensured we all new how to navigate back to the hotel or starting place.

This is a can’t miss opportunity! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Sebastian - he is full of knowledge and personality. Additionally he is a fascinating guy. The tour was informative and the food and drink excellent. Fully recommended this tour if you are an inquisitive eater and enjoy exploring the regional favorites.

Sebastian's tour was wonderful. He is proud of his city and offered a good variety of information without overwhelming us. The special restaurants he took us to offered many tastes of delicious-ness. LeDon in the old town, then to La Buchette, La Buche and Cafe Buade. Really enjoyed the Maple Taffy. We even returned the next evening to Bello, it was so good! Highly recommend this food/walking tour.

Sébastien is a phenomenal guide. He knows the history of the city and its peoples, and he is equally comfortable talking food and culture or history and politics. He took his lead from us, tailoring the tour to our questions and interests rather than running through a script. He also offered to book us a table at any of the five restaurants for a full meal later, even on short notice. The tour visits five restaurants, each with a pre-selected food and drink pairing, and every one of them delivered. Together they showcase both the historic and contemporary strengths of Old Quebec. I'm a sucker for carrot cake, so the dessert at Café Buade won me over completely. One practical note: this is a walking tour, so wear comfortable shoes and bring your appetite. You will be snacking steadily for three hours, and by the end you will be quite full. Skip a big lunch beforehand.
