Doge’s was good, and the early entry went well. You do have to find the tour company ticket office and then walk to Doge’s from there, but it was easy and finding everything using Apple Maps. About a 5 minute walk from the tour office, however, the tour office does not open until 9 AM and they were quite a few people waiting. So we had to wait for our tickets and then walk to Doge’s. Walking through the palace was interesting, but the tour seemed to focus more on the art/paintings on the wall than anything else - in my opinion. It got a bit boring. Lots of large tour groups were also there, but not too bad. Do at your own pace. The app for Doge’s (MOVE) mostly work, but there were some dead spots where the app didn’t load.. We didn’t see a way to actually download the tour. If you don’t have high speedWi-Fi, that might be a problem. Overall I would recommend buying the tickets from here as the official website is a little bit confusing to buy the tickets and although it says you can do it in English, some of it is still in Italian.

The guided tour is in your phone so bring headphones or ear buds. It guides you from room to room and gives the history of each room. The rooms get so much more meaning from the narration.

Need to pick up vouchers at another site before getting in line. Priority was excellent. Audio tour included

The palace was amazing and the audio tour provided was ideal in the busy setting. The ticket situation was a little ridiculous, you have to walk to a tourist office to exchange your digital ticket for a printed copy, which they don’t mention until you arrive. A little bit of unnecessary stress in a very busy location.

Skip the line worked great. We got a 10:15 pass, but we could use it anytime. Finding the office for the ticket was super easy by clicking on directions in the app.

Very poor value for money. We had to download an app to listen to the commentary but realised quite quickly that the WiFi didn’t work. Everyone was sat around on their phones looking perplexed and frustrated. We were told by one member of staff that the Doge’s palace is lead lined, hence the problem with the WiFi! So don’t charge people an extortionate amount of money for a service that clearly isn’t going to work. Frustrating, annoying and badly run.

Incredible, take your time to look around. The history and the art are well worth the look. Just when you thought you'd seen it all, theres more.

I booked the wrong date. I should have booked the day after, yes this was my mistake. However, I contacted Viator immediately, then each hour after without response. I emailed them for them to tell me the carrier would not alter. Yes, this was my mistake but to immediately recognise my mistake and then try to make contact without response was terrible service.
