This was a nice experience, got to watch the olden time castle and modern marvel suspension bridge .. The guide sachiko was sweet , and was explaining nicely .. Was clarifying our doubts , enteric .. We had a wonderful day !

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly! I personally was allowed to explore the castle area alone, since this is just a preference of mine when the areas are especially crowded. Recommended along with wearing good walking shoes.

The castle requires LOTS of walking and we do not recommend it for people who have had knee and hip replacements! However, the Castle was amazing with great views of the city and a deep dive in to the shoganate history of this area of Japan. The suspension bridge in Kobe is an amazing feat of engineering with amazing sights and sounds. Be ready to do 20,000 steps at the least! Our guide had energy to spare and got us through the different trains with ease and professionalism.

Beautiful exterior, but the interior is boring. It’s quite an expensive tour for not much to see and do. The bridge is nice, but not that exciting. The guide was lovely and made the day easier. The bullet train is also an amazing experience.

There were only four of us plus the guide on our tour. There is some walking to and from the station to the castle, but as all this area was part of the orginal castle grounds you really get to appreciate the immensity of it. The castle tour is excellent and our guide was very knowledeable and helpful. We have been in several other Japanese castles, but this was the best from our perspective. The buffet lunch was superb and far better than what we expected and have had on other tours. The afternoon tour of Akashi has less walking, but is equally as interesting. It is an amazing structure and you get a chance to view a lot of it from the observation points. When we were considering this tour we thought it appeared relatively expensive, however, you ride a bullet train, experience an amazing castle and grounds, have a supurb buffet lunch and see an engineering marvel with the bridge. In fact it offered excellent value for money. Our guide was superb and we had a wonderful day.

Aki was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. His English is superb and he answered dozens of questions I had. The lunch was great too. Exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this tour!

I wasn't paying attention but this is a walking tour so there is no bus to pick up or drop off but the guide helped us get where we needed to go. There was a lot of walking but the guide made sure we were well hydrated and had breaks when we needed to. Himeji was definitely the highlight of the tour and one of my favorite experiences.

Himji castle is a highlight - having spent another 3 weeks in Japan after this it is still the most impressive castle we saw - the bridge is spectacular and an example of the technological infrastructure in Japan - every engineer should do this trip
