I arrived on time for my scheduled tour, only to be told that I was the sole person who had booked that day, so Julia Travel had decided to cancel it. I received no advance notice, not the night before, that morning, or even through the booking platform so I didn’t learn about the cancellation until I arrived. They also did not initiate the refund themselves. I had to contact Viator to get a refund for a tour Julia Travel canceled. Julia Travel required Viator to submit the refund request by email, and I was told it could take another 3-7 business days to process. I’ve booked experiences through Viator for years and have never had a bad experience until now. I would not recommend booking with Julia Travel, and I wish I had read their reviews on other platforms beforehand, as several people have reported similar issues. Viator should reconsider working with this company. Canceling because only one person booked is disappointing enough, but allowing that customer to arrive without any warning is completely unacceptable.

We had a wonderful experience on this winery tour! The round-trip transfer was very comfortable. As Japanese travelers, we found the bus spacious, and the air conditioning worked well throughout the journey. Our guide, Michelle, was very knowledgeable and friendly, and she was happy to chat with us and answer our questions. The winery itself was also fun to explore. Moving around the property on an outdoor train made the experience feel like an activity rather than just a wine tasting. Both the wine tasting and lunch were excellent and very satisfying. If I had to mention one small point, the portions at lunch were quite large for light eaters. Some Japanese guests may find the portions a little more than they can comfortably eat. If there is ever a future option with an English-speaking tour, a lighter meal, and more focus on wine tasting, we would definitely love to join again. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
