We had a nice tour of Assisi, but it was very rushed, and it was clear that the tour company had not conferred with the actual tour guide prior to our arrival. The guide was very good, but she was forced to rush because of the time pressure of the tour. They even suggested that we skip one of the sites, which was shocking for a tour for which we paid nearly $1,000/pp. However, lunch was excellent and showcased local Umbrian foods.
Dear Rachel, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. However, it should be noted that the tour included 10 hours from pick-up to drop-off. In Assisi, as per the tour details, three hours were scheduled with the guide Simona to visit the three Basilicas (included in the tour)from 10 am to 1 pm. The guide conducted the full tour of the three Basilicas until 1:30 pm exceeding the time. She then left you with the driver Daniele with whom you proceeded to the restaurant for the gourmet lunch. After lunch with driver Daniele you reached your hotel in Rome. The experience was completely handled as per the tour schedule. If you wished to have more time in Assisi, this had to be arranged in advance by specifying it in the Special Requirements. Therefore, we kindly ask you to review your evaluation. Our Driver, Kevin, was so kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, professional and skilled in his position. Lisa extremely knowledgeable, sweet, helpful and considerate. They made this trip special for our whole family. I would HIGHLY recommend either or both of them as well as this site. I wish we had more than a day on this tour
