Sibel was our tour guide, and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable, and did a very good job sharing the history in a way that helped you connect with it. I loved walking Ephesus where the Apostle Paul spent time on his third missionary journey. The Turkish bath was suggested by a friend who previously visited Turkey, and it did not disappoint. I recommended adding the massage. Sibel and the driver were very timely. The lunch provided was good and in a nice setting.

Fantastic review!
Deniz our guide was amazing!! The tour was absolutely perfect. Took us to Ephesus got us right in and gave us an overview and guided tour which was perfect in length.. We then went to where they make the Turkish rugs and learned how they made them. Lunch was fantastic! We ended with a Turkish bath and was absolutely superb. We highly recommend this tour!

Best excursion ever!
Sybil was easily located righty off the ship. She walked us to the meeting spot where a comfortable air conditioned Mercedes was waiting. We were a party of 4 so we got basically a private tour. We made our way to Ephesus and toured the ruins. I’m not a history buff but she really made it interesting. We were also given time to visit the museum and/or shops etc. Next was the Turkish rug stop. I have to say the hands on tour/ display of rugs was totally amazing. We all admitted we were blown away with the time and talent it takes to make each rug. Then on to the Turkish bath. This was a very relaxing, interesting and amazing experience! Sybil was interesting and friendly and made us feel comfortable. Highly recommend!! Ty!

Great tour guide
Alpern gave us the best tour! He was so knowledgeable about the ancient city of Ephesus, and he was enjoyable to be with. I didn’t know I would enjoy seeing these ruins as much as I did. Also, the Turkish bath was an experience that was enjoyable. My husband was hesitant, and didn’t love it as much as I did, but he has a fun story to tell ;)

Great for cruise ship passengers !
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book this excursion! We had such an amazing day in Kusadasi and I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially if you’re visiting from a cruise ship.
Getting picked up was a breeze. They stayed in communication with me from the moment I got off the ship, which made everything completely stress-free. The van was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, and our driver did a perfect job getting us around safely all day.
Our tour guide was AMAZING! Our first stop was Ephesus, where he walked us through everything and taught us so much about the history and what we were seeing. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience so much more interesting than just walking around on our own. He also took photos of us throughout the tour and did an amazing job — we ended up with some really great pictures!
Admission to Ephesus is not included in the tour price, but we knew that before booking. You can easily pay with cash or card when you arrive. Our guide also provided us with water throughout the day and always showed us where the restrooms were whenever we needed one.
After Ephesus, we went to the rug-making place and had a traditional Turkish lunch with our guide. This was actually one of my favorite parts because we were able to sit down together, talk, ask him anything we wanted about Turkey, and compare life in his country with ours. It made the experience feel much more personal.
The rugs are definitely expensive, and there is absolutely no pressure or requirement to purchase one. However, I ended up buying a small silk rug that is unbelievably gorgeous. After seeing the quality and craftsmanship up close, you really cannot compare these rugs to the ones being sold around the cruise port.
Next, we visited a leather shop. We didn’t purchase anything there, but if you’re into leather, they have a huge selection.
Our final experience was the traditional Turkish bath. We also chose to add massages, which we LOVED, but you definitely don’t have to get one if you don’t want to. The Turkish bath itself lasted around 20–30 minutes and was such a unique experience to try while in Turkey. I brought a bathing suit and felt completely comfortable wearing it.
At the end of the tour, they dropped us off right in front of the shopping area near the port, which was the perfect way to finish our day. We had plenty of time to shop and still made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.
If you’re like me and have anxiety about getting back to the cruise ship on time, this is the excursion to book! I never felt rushed or worried about missing the ship. We were able to see and experience so much in one day, and having such an amazing guide and driver made the entire experience even better.
10/10 experience — I would absolutely book this tour again!

10/10 You won’t regret booking with Smart Turkey Tours
Cannot say enough good things about our experience with Smart Turkey Tours. My mom and I took a Mediterranean cruise and one port of call was Ephesus. I booked the Ephesus, Turkish Bath Tour and added the House of Virgin Mary stop. In conversation when deciding on our tour I shared my mother is elderly and walks with a cane but not mobility restricted. Our guide ensured every part of our trip was as accommodating & accessible as possible without missing out on the spectacular points as he mentioned. I highly recommend this company and specifically this tour to anyone as you still see all the highlights then end with an amazing Hammam Turkish bath. The entire experience was 10/10. Also our tour guide, Aytug, was phenomenal. I wanted an evil eye charm and he added a stop to a better quality store instead of the locals outside the Ephesus stop because the vendors sold as he put it “genuine fake”. I ended up with the perfect silver bracelet among a few other authentic Turkish items. Lastly, the timing of all the stops were perfect with minimal waiting!
