Our guide was wonderful! 47 years…he knew his stuff. The most amazing rainbow. Unfortunate that the restaurant had a water main break as we were very much looking forward to the dinner at the General Store. Would highly recommend and hope to get dinner reservations another night!!
Shout out to our tour guide Brian, he was so knowledgeable and so much fun as he gave us a tour of the farm! The gift shop has so much incredible merchandise, and the pineapple was the most delicious I've ever had! The dinner at the Hali'imaile General Store was so incredible, and Frank did such an amazing job looking after us! Mahalo nui loa!
This was a great adventure, my wife and found the history, and process of growing Pineapples fascinating. The samples were out of this world good.
It was a fun time and very informative about the growing of pineapple. Tatiana was really great as a guide.
We heard the Pineapple tour was good so we booked it through MCS at our Resort. The farm is located near the main airport (OGG) in a small community that was once all buildings used by the farm at one time. We checked in for our tour time and checked out the standard gift shop which is naturally expensive. We got on our bus with the tour guide who was great. Very knowledgeable, humorous and any question asked about pineapples. After making it to the fields we drove around to areas of maturity of the plants before stopping for pictures and eating plenty pineapple! At the end of the tour they give you a box with pineapple to carry onto the plane as a carryon item if you choose to do so. We ate ours during the week but took the tops home to grow our own! We had the dinner ticket which was provided at the mercantile building converted to the restaurant. The restaurant and food were excellent! In reality the food was probably the best food we had our entire trip on Maui! The Maui-Maui and purple sweet potatoes were amazing as were the drinks which were not included and billed separately. The entire trip with dinner takes about 3 hours and is reasonably priced being you get a great meal! Great tour, highly recommended!
This was very educational, taste testing in the field, and a pineapple to go home. It takes 18 months to grow pineapple, but really much longer as the soil has to be prepared.

The tour of the fields was very informative with a ton of information. Our guide, Rudy was awesome the entire tour.
We booked this tour through NCL. It was a group of about 20 people or so. They take you on a bus around the plantation and stop you off at a couple of the areas of the pineapple field. I think I expected to see a little more of the factory or processing facility or something…I’m not really sure. Just expected more than 2 stops in pineapple fields. That being said, our guide Colten was excellent when it came to information and I learned more about pineapples on this tour than I ever knew. He even showed us how to get the best (and prettiest) pictures of the young pineapples. The tour gives you a chance to taste a Maui Gold pineapple. I really thought people were being silly when they said you could tell the difference but you can honestly taste the difference and I’ll never look at pineapple the same again. I already have a Maui Gold subscription box ordered to go to my house at home. They have a nice gift shop although I did feel a little rushed at the end. Overall it’s not exactly the tour I expected but it was still a nice day. If you’re looking for a short excursion on NCL that’ll still give you a nice afternoon this is a good choice.
Rudy was a fantastic tour guide very informative and funny and charismatic, this tour was such a great experience to learn how pineapple is made and how to choose a sweet one and the tasting of the pineapple was delicious! Would definitely come back again and would definitely recommend
