This was a great trip and a must-see when visiting Northern Vietnam. The bus transportation to and from Hanoi was comfortable and convenient. We stopped at rest-areas too and from for breaks and snacks, as well as a pearl-making factory on the way in. The cruise had good food and was the perfect length of time to see the formations and have a 45 minute kayak.
Everything I saw was new to me and was so beautiful. The guide talked friendly and that was also nice. Both quality and quantity of lunch was great. Thank you for guiding us.
Our tour guide, Harry, was brilliant - both funny and engaging and made the tour 100% better. The bus was a bit squeezy (for 3 hours from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay and then 3 hours back), but it was convenient that we were allowed to leave our bulky bags in the bus while we went on activities. Lunch was pretty bad, had a lot of dishes but none were good. Would say that Harry overall made the trip better, very insightful about Vietnam history and shared a lot of very cool facts that I see a lot of other guides skip. In fact, his facts were so interesting that other groups were listening in and asking Harry to repeat the information for them to hear!

This is Halong bay 1 day tour with national highway so that the transfer time is almost 7 hours on the bus. However, there is one stopover for travelers take a rest, go to clean room or grab some foods. If you have chance to comeback, you can try our another tour with only 5 hours both way. The transfer time is shorter but the price is higher. About our lunch, we serve all Vietnamese food, maybe Asian food is not suitable for you. Should be visit when you are in vietnam. It is very beautiful, wide bay and amamzing view. Shoud sleep night over in jungle if you have time enough.
We visited hanoi during the last week of dec 2018 and we had booked a day trip to Halong bay via Klook. It was managed arranged by Charming Vietnam Travels. I would give 5 stars to the guide. (probably his name is Sam our travel date 31-12-2018). He is excellent knows the geography well and he explained about the caves in detail. Couldn't visit the floating village . Our group of 9ppl were pure vegetarians and the vegetarian food served was very good.
Do not hesitate. They work well. Professionals. That is, far from seeing other tours that will offer the same for more money, it is worth it, it does the same as others and they strive to make you have the best time possible. The guide was a great girl and everything went perfectly: from hotel pickup to the tour was over.

Our tour guide Benjamin, called the hotel and left a message advising what time we were to be collected in the morning so we weren't sat in the lobby to long. The bus ride was extremely comfortable. The boat we took was amazing, so clean and comfortable. The food was brilliant and the staff so attentive. Overall a brilliant experience and I would def recommend using this tour company.
