It takes time to get in and out of Mexico City but the experiences are well worth travel time. Juan Carlos was very helpful, informative and made the trip lots of fun. His vehicle was impeccable and comfy. Xochimilco was such a wonderful surprise! Move over Venetian gondolas. Very different though. Brightly painted Barges head down the canal where you are offered corn on the cob, sweets, cold refreshments and a mariachi band or two who will jump onboard and serenade you. The barges are powered by very strong gents with poles. Juan Carlos got us there early in the morning so there was only a 20 minute wait before we could board. Later in the day it can take up to 2 hours waiting time. We saw a few party barges as well. Looks great for a hen”s or bux party experience. We then headed to Coyoacan, which is a beautiful upscale neighborhood where we lunched at Los de Anzantescoyoa, which serves up delicious authentic Mexican meals. Overall experience 10+++. The tour operator never showed up. We sent several messages and Viator was unable to reach them. The operator seems unreliable and does not communicate well.
Lamentamos el mal entendido pero la reservación no nos llego a tiempo y por tal motivo no pudimos operarlo.
Great experience of the canals and local site seeing. The guides were very helpful in picking us up and adapting to the things we wanted to see the most.
