I don't know if that's true, but here's what I do know. We met "Hot Chocolate" on the beach at Sandals La Toc. Listening to him versus his competitors, he just had a quiet confidence in the product he was selling, while others seemed to be just trying to "close the sale" and move on. Later when my wife met him as well, and he explained that his wife "Sweet Chocolate" gives the tour, we knew that the family run business was our vibe, and we booked with him. It was the right move. We were part of an 8 person tour, four couples, which is the perfect size for a tour like theirs. Sweet Chocolate is an outstanding tour guide, attentive to everyone in their care for the day, and she puts a lot of effort into making the tour informative and fun. It's a lot of sight-seeing and activity, but you never feel rushed through it. You feel like you're a VIP with them, whether it be at the mud bath, the waterfall, lunch breaks, the rum tasting, or just on the drive between stops. For the price per person, my wife and I feel like this tour was an incredible value for what we saw and experienced. If you're going to Sandals, any of the resorts, (you can get a free shuttle ride between any of them) find Hot Chocolate on the beach at La Toc and book a tour, it will be one of the best experiences of your trip! So again, I can't say they're the best because I have no one else to compare to, but they set the bar very high!

We chose Hot Chocolate Tours in St. Lucia because of its 5‑star reviews on Viator and the promise of a small, fun, party‑style excursion. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. Instead of the expected small group of around 2–3 couples, we were packed onto a boat with 17 people. The pickup was late, which meant everything felt rushed from the start. The “party vibe” never happened as one guide was left to manage a very large group alone, and it really showed. The tour itself included the mud baths, views of the Pitons, the waterfall and snorkelling. These stops were genuinely fun and are beautiful parts of St. Lucia, but they were all rushed because of the delayed start and the size of the group. It felt like we were being moved from place to place without enough time to enjoy any of it properly. After the boat ride, we were transferred to a minibus that was essentially a hired taxi with barely functioning air‑conditioning. It was uncomfortable and didn’t feel like a proper tour vehicle at all. Snorkelling was the only part that felt relaxed, but only because I’m a qualified scuba diver and could go off on my own. Others in the group were hesitant and unsure what to do, and there was no guidance or supervision for first‑timers, which didn’t feel safe or organised. Lunch was fine, but the rum punch on the way back didn’t create any kind of fun vibe, as the group was simply too large and too poorly managed. This tour did not resemble the 5‑star reviews we relied on when booking, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting a well‑organised or lively experience.

Hot Chocolate is the best! Booked a St. Lucia land excursion with him on the beach at Sandals La Toc. His wife, Sweet Chocolate, was our guide on the excursion and she was phenomenal. She shared so much knowledge about the area with the group. It was a nice small group of only four couples, which made it quite enjoyable. The lunch at the local restaurant was probably the highlight for me as the food was amazing and the view of the Pitons from our table couldn’t be beat. Don’t hesitate and book with Hot Chocolate!

We booked our tour with The Man, Hot Chocolate, himself at Sandals La Toc. His wife, Hot Chocolate, was our guide for the mud bath, mineral spring, lunch, etc. tour for our group of 2 couples. The excursion was fun, informative, beautiful, and the lunch at the villa was fantastic! The entire experience was more like an outing with a friend who was a local and not like a paid, informal excursion. I would feel comfortable in assuming that all of the tours with the Hot Chocolate outfit would be the same!

One of the highlights of our vacation! Learned so much about the island and culture. Saw some beautiful sights and had probably the best meal we had on island! Don’t miss this one!

For anyone looking to book an excursion, find the one they call Hot Chocolate on the beach (Mitch). (Sandels Regency La Toc) (Or check photo for contact info) We spent the day with the best tour guide, Sweet Chocolate, at the mud bath, volcano, waterfall, chocolate factory and finished the day with a rum tasting at the distillery. The following day we did the zip line and snorkeled at the Anse Mamin Beach. VIP treatment with no waiting, small group, and she takes the best pictures for you! 10/10! Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I highly recommend hot chocolate tours for any excursion in Saint Lucia! My husband and I did the mud bath volcano excursion on our honeymoon and we had the best time. Sweet Chocolate was a wonderful guide. We truly felt like we were on a VIP tour. She took us to every spot right before the crowds hit, and if there was a spot with a crowd, we somehow got in and out really quick! It was the best. We were gone from 8:30-2:30, so for how long it was and the amount of things we did, it was well worth the money. We loved it!

Our resort butler recommended we talk to Mitch for the St. Lucia land and sea tour, and we are so happy with the recommendation. His partner Kim did the tour with us and another couple, and we were able to do so much-- stop by the sulphur springs mud bath and waterfall, see the Pitons, take a boat to sugar beach, taste local chocolate and rum, etc. It was a great experience for a reasonable price.

Top notch small tour with very knowledgeable tour guide for 6 hours. Wonderful value! Lots of sightseeing of St Lucia and Nice air conditioned modern van.
