Country living steps from the beauty of the city Lucerne
We absolutely loved this tour. Our guide Micheal was extremely professional, knowledgeable about Swiss history & culture. He was very social and welcoming and made the group feel very at ease. It gave us a little feel of country living after being in the city for 3 days. You really get the vibe of Switzerland and how the farmers live and maintain their farms. The baby cows are absolutely adorable they will suck on your fingers as if they are nursing. The cow bells give you a sense of calmness to a city girl. Highly recommend after sightseeing in Lucerne. The cheese and ice cream were excellent. Nothing like that in the states.

Do Not do this trip
Beautiful landscape, no exposure to milk processing and cheese production, the guide was terrific, highly disappointed

Beautiful side of Lucerne
My husband and i had a great tour with Amalia. She was very personable and had lots of knowledge to share with us. This tour is a walking tour and does involve some physical exertion. Don’t book if you’re not willing to walk a bit. But the local cheese and fruit were a pretty awesome treat.

Outside of city experience

Rural tour.
Great to experience a bit of the rural area outside Lucerne with a local. Joanna was a great source of information and local stories and generous with her time. She showed us a side of Switzerland that we might not otherwise have seen. Thank you for an interesting experience Joanne.

Highly recommended!
Michail was a great tour guide! Between telling us the history of Lucerne and answering the many questions we had, he was knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. Our group of 8 got to visit a dairy farm, meet some of the cows, and tried a few of the cheeses they make. The cost was very fair for the length of the tour and everything we experienced. There is a fair amount of walking on hilly paths, but mostly downhill. Also, we did have some rain so bring a raincoat or umbrella if needed. Highly recommend!!

Great farm visit and cheese making tour
Fantastic experience of the cheese making tour with Leo, he did a great job of explaining the details and history of farming and cheese making. After that the cheese tasting experience was superb.

Bessie, Herman and the cheese life.
Zoie was friendly and knowledgeable. Whether local knowledge about Lucerne, family farming, or cheese, she was able to answer our questions and teach us a little about the process to get cheese from pasture to table.
Big plus were the views … 20 minutes out of town, up a cogwheel train, we were overlooking Lake Zurich and feeling like we were in WNC.
