Our Belgian guide was excellent; professional and friendly, responding to questions that pre-empted his commentary.

Engaging and energetic!
Our guide knew her history and engaged even with the younger kids on the tour. Our guide was an Asissi native who thoroughly enjoyed giving us a great introduction to St Francis

Alessandra made our day...
Alessandra made our day in Assisi. Her knowledge of and passion for this place brought Giotto to life before our eyes. She is an amazing guide.

Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
I visited this but not with a tour guide. St Francis of Assisi was born and died here. It is a Roman Catholic Church. The basilica began in 1298. It has an Upper and Lower church and is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site
