I do not usually praise good service as this is a minimum I’d expect when booking with specialized service providers, however I must say that Rio De Janeiro By Cariocas’ Team was formidable from day one! Renata handled our booking meticulously, going into the minus detail, so when we arrived to the Rio, we had no concern whatsoever, from pick up timing to the flow of our day. Monique (co-founder) was actually our guide for the day. She’s super fun, speaks very good English and super well informed. I went back to Brazil for Christmas because I enjoyed it so much the first time. I used Rio de Janeiro by Cariocas to help me plan my trip, because the service was so good the first time, and the objective was to do new things that I missed out on last time. Monique put together another fun-filled, mixed itinerary including the Sugar loaf hiking, which wasn't difficult at all, and ended with incredible views of Rio from the top of Morro da Urca where we sat an enjoyed Caipirinha taking in the view. Other trips included a great samba night with the locals, scootering along Copacabana beach and great Brazilian Bbqs. Rio de Janeiro by Cariocas really take the hassle out of planning a trip and it is a pleasure to spend time with their guides, who are keen travellers themselves, speak great English and have lots of stories to share and know Rio inside out. I can't wait to come back for a 3rd time!! Thanks
