Our tour of Pompeii with Lallo was outstanding....the best tour guide we have ever had.....everyone on our tour was in agreement.
Probably our favorite excursion of our entire Med cruise! We started in Beautiful Sorrento and Positano. Stopped for breathtaking pictures along the way. Gave us a lay of the land in Sorrento and we had free time to shop/grab Gelato. Next we met our guide at Pompeii and WOW we hit the jackpot. Her know how made it feel like we had Pompeii to ourselves. She was full of knowledge and knew every shady spot. Finally he took us to a perfect pizza spot and back to the cruise terminal. Best day!
Guido was a phenomenal guide, prompt, polite, very informative on sites and history, and had great recommendations for picture spots and places to visit. Loretta was our guide for Pompeii and was awesome. She was full of interesting facts, took us to some awesome sites, and was very informative throughout. Overall a great experience.
Our guide Lelo at Pompeii was outstanding! He is an archeologist who worked at Pompeii. He was extremely knowledgeable, fun and energetic. Time flew because he was so interesting and engaging. Best experience of our trip!!
Probably my favorite tour or the one I enjoyed the most! Spectacular views. The tour guide not only stopped where we asked him to, but he also suggested perfect spots for pictures. He took us to the best restaurant in Positano, Constantine, with the best fresh fish, food and view. I recommended this restaurant to coworkers that were going to the same area after me and they were delighted. I love this trip so much that I would have no problem spending a whole Summer in this area when I retire. Next time I want to go to the beach! Bravo!
We had a great time. Our driver Marco was very professional. He made sure we had a great time. The ride to Positano was absolutely beautiful. He stopped a few times on the way to take photos of magnificent views and their were roadside venders with local products. We stopped in Sorrento for shopping which was a blast. We then proceeded to a mountain top restaurant where we had a DELICIOUS family style authentic Italian lunch. Best day ever!
We had a fabulous tour!!! Our driver was super and after chatting made some suggestions for us that we accepted and our day couldn't have been better thanks to him. Our Pompeii tour guide was also so very informative and charming. Such a great day and would highly recommend the tour and Viator for booking. Thank you guides and Viator!
We hit the jackpot with our Pompeii tour guide and driver. Our tour guide, Lelo, was so knowledgeable, interactive and passionate about the history of the Pompeii ruins. I’ve never ever seen my 3 teenage sons being so attentive! Sorrento and the Amalfi coast were breathtaking, we have to go back next time! Enzo, our driver, was so pleasant, informative, friendly and looked after us, especially our elderly parents, so well throughout the tour. I highly recommend this tour especially Enzo and his uncle Lelo.
Our driver/guide Paolo was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would say the same for our Pompeii guide Antonio. We chose this tour rather than the tour offered by the cruise line. I think we made a good decision. The van was comfortable for our group of 7 and we had complete control of the itinerary.
We disembarked from our ship a few minutes early, and Paolo was already there waiting for us in an air conditioned Mercedes van. He took us through Sorrento and Positano and then recommended a super place for lunch that was reasonable and delicious. At Pompeii, we were taken around by Estefania (Stephanie) who was as enthusiastic as she was knowledgeable. My biggest regret us that she disappeared before I could break a large bill to tip her, as her tour of the ruins was outstanding, as was the site. We couldn’t believe how well preserved so many of the artifacts were🤩! I wish we had more time in Pompeii as we could have easily listened to Stephanie for another hour. Thanks Paolo and Estefania for an outstanding experience!
