This was one of the best tours I have taken from Viator, and I have taken a lot! Emi was amazing! So informative and very knowledgeable about history and neighborhoods. He helped us so much with understanding the culture of Buenos Aires and Argentina more. I would take the tour again!

It was a pleasant tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He spoke good English and even took us to a leather good store which was unplanned. The tour lasted a little over 5 hours and we started earlier than schedule. We enjoyed experience and privacy of tour with more of a personalized experience.

It sucked my guide did not speak a lick of english was rude and told us no info.

We were only in Buenos Aires for a couple of days before a cruise, and wanted to maximize our time. After reviewing the awesome reviews and great pricing options for Depasseios tours, we opted to book the Discover Buenos Aires on a Private Full Day Tour with Guide through Viator. An hour or so before the tour, we received notification from the tour guide, Dario. We hit the 'tour guide' jackpot with Dario! He was cool, funny, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about a variety of subjects regarding Buenos Aires (e.g., Flowers, trees, history, food, etc.). Dario was eager and energetic to show us his city! If we ever visit again or receive tour recommendation inquiries about Buenos Aires, we will not hesitate to refer others to Depasseios tours (with the request for Dario as the tour guide!)! Dario picked us up at our hotel around 8:00am. Stop 1: Floralis Generica Arrived around 8:25am. Dario provided information about the sculpture/area and assisted us with taking some cool photos. Since we arrived early, we were able to avoid crowds. Left Stop 1 around 8:45am. Stop 2: El Rosedal Garden Arrived around 9:05am. Dario provided knowledge about the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed taking a leisurely walk around the area and taking time to literally "smell the roses." Left Stop 2 around 10:20am. Stop 3: Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Our Lady of Pillar Basilica) Note: We opted out of visiting Recoleta Cemetery (was able to get a glimpse of the cemetery from the car on the way to Stop 3). Arrived around 10:45am. Walked around the church and snapped a few photos. Note: If you have limited time, would research the Our Lady of Pillar Basilica prior to the tour to determine if you want to visit or bypass the stop. Left Stop 3 around 11:05am. Stop 4: El Ateneo Grand Splendid Arrived around 11:10am. El Ateneo was a cool stop (theatre that was converted into a huge bookstore). In addition to the books and music (options are in what appears to be the basement) for purchase, there is a Havanna Cafe (a chain throughout the city) and the Grand Splendid Experience (3rd floor, optional activity where admission fee is required). You can go to an upper level to take photos and/or browse through more books. We opted out of purchasing food from Havanna, and instead went to the convenience store beside the bookstore to get water and snacks. A blind man with an amazing voice was singing outside of the bookstore. If we did not have other stops on the tour, would have gladly stayed there and listened to him perform. Left Stop 4 around 11:55am. Stop 5: Casa Rosada (Pink House)/Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral Arrived around 12:15pm. We walked around the plaza and snapped photos. Walked over to the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral (only took a few minutes). We walked through the church and saw the (guarded) marble mausoleum of General José de San Martín. Left Stop 5 around 1:10pm (attempted to see the changing of the guards at 1:00pm, but there was a delay, so we left). Stop 6: Puerto Madero (quick photo stop) Arrived around 1:20pm. Took photos of the area and took in the sights. Left Stop 6 around 1:25pm. Stop 7: San Telmo Area/Parrilla La Brigada (last stop) Arrived around 1:45pm, which is when the tour ended. Earlier in the tour, we opted out of visiting Caminito (because we went the day before the tour). However, after eating at the recommended La Brigada restaurant, we wished that we'd revisited Caminito so that we could have eaten lunch at El Gran Paraíso (again). Our experience at La Brigada was underwhelming. While it may have been an isolated incident, the food quality and service didn’t match our expectations (e.g., Overcooked meat and neglectful waiter). Prior to dining at La Brigada, do your research on the restaurant and other dining options in the San Telmo area (e.g., At the market). Note: - All of the sites we visited were free and did not require admission fees. - For groups larger than 4, confirm vehicle capacity with the tour operator to ensure comfort. - Inquire if booking directly with the operator saves money. - Use the Depasseios itinerary as a guide and customize stops to fit your interests. If you have a tour guide as awesome as Dario, regardless of which sites are selected, you will be in for a treat as you explore Buenos Aires!

We were picked up from hotel and started our tour. The guide was very informative and drove well around the city showing us all the main sites. Just a note that the guide did not stick to the confirmed tour. So check before you start where you are visiting. One place was not visited. Felt like the guide was in a hurry. I had to remind her of where we were to visit at the end That said was good to see the city driven well.

This tour gave us a very good overview of Buenos Aires in 6 hours. Ana our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. A very good day to begin our South American adventure.

We covered a ton of ground and got a great intro to the city. Fernando was flexible and made the tour great for us and our children. Thanks, Fernando!
