They say you should get an official guide, not someone random in the street. Well that's what we did and it really was a rip off. We paid for three hours of visit of the Medina. At the beginning the guide explain to us the history of the city for 10 min which was nice. The rest was just him dropping us as his friend's store so that we buy stuff from them. After not even 1h30 and a half (half of what we paid for) he dropped us in a garden, and told us to visit and that he was going to leave. I am sorry but ChatGPT would have done a WAY better job. I guess it depends on the guide as I read great reviews but ours what NOT into it at all.

We had a fascinating time with Osama who took us to the places we were interested in and taught us the traditions of the artisans. He seemed to know everyone. Highly recommend.

He only showed us the expensive stores and was forced to buy an expensive rug. Which turned to be such a waste of money.

I booked a tour of the souks of Marrakech through the agency's website and was thrilled! Our guide Chakib was exceptionally friendly, very competent and led us with great patience through the lively streets.
