Disappointing. Basically paid the driver to take us in an under-airconditioned van to a few stops. Our tour guide barely described any of the sites, just point to them and say 'Here's where people jump off cliffs. Here's the Cathedral.' Or he would say 'do you want to stop? No? Okay.' making it awkward being the odd man out to ask for tour stops. He did not encourage people to get off for the cliff divers, so many people on the van stayed and missed it.
When we get to the Cathedral, we have to ask him where the market is (I had been there before) because he never mentioned it.
However, he was happy to take us to a store for 'margarita tastings' where we stayed for a while. Yes, he was a tout and gets a cut of customer purchases. After that, he dropped us off at the Golden Zone and the tour was over. That's it.
Should have just grabbed a taxi driver to drive us around. At least they give personal service.

Hello CW, we appreciate your review about your tour with us. We apologize about the A/C on the vehicle, but because of polo storm on the pacific, it was a very hot and humid day when you were here at Mazatlán.
The family of 6 passengers, that actually did not get off the vehicle at the cliff divers, had being here before like you, and mentioned the tour guide, that it was a hor day and might not get off on some stops, this is why the tour guide was asking them, not you or the other couple on the tour.
The tour includes one stop for shopping, where you can stay on the vehicle if not interested, if no one if interested, we just keep going.
CW, about the tour finishing at the golden zone, our last stop before going back to the ship terminal, you asked the tour guide if you were able to stay longer at the resort, to enjoy the pool and beach a little longer, andyou mentioned not having a problem on paying the taxi back, this is why tour ended for you at the golden zone, the rest of the passengers were dropped off at the ship terminal.
We apologize for not providing enough information during the tour, and giving proper directions on places, we are already encouraging our tourist guide to change this.

We had a blast on the...
We had a blast on the tour. Our driver was very knowledgeable and took good care of us. Would only wish that we had a little more time at the resort.

Best tour ever
This was the best tour ever. Gloria was so knowledgeable and friendly and a big help. She even customized the trip for us! We were the only ones on the tour so it was very personal. It was also a great value!

Great guide
Our guide was fantastic.
We were disappointed with the cliff diver , I did not see anyone dive and the guy wouldn’t jump if they didn’t get money from the audience.

Great way to see Mazatlan

Good way to see it all
This was great for getting a guided overview of the town. Our guide, Gloria, did a fantastic job of telling us all the stories around the historical features, important sites, and when special events would occur around the year. The car was comfortable, air conditioned, and she had water available to ensure we didn’t get dehydrated. We got to all the popular spots around town and it was an appropriate amount of time. I will note, they do take you to a store at the end of the tour where you get a bit of a sales pitch for jewelry, knickknacks, etc. But, at least they are good quality and reasonably priced for what they are. The free alcohol is only at that store, which for us was fine as we don’t really drink much. Overall, a great experience for getting all around the city in a reasonable amount of time. Spend more time in Old Town if you can; the Golden Zone is just like Daytona Beach at spring break - very commercial, corporate, and boring.

Our tour guide David went out of his way to help us. He gave us a heads up on the conditions on an activity that we had booked. He called the tour operator and let us know what was happening and what to expect.

Poor Air Conditioning
I was a very hot day in the 90's and humid too. The vans air conditioning could not keep up making the tour very uncomfortable. The driver tried getting another van but couldn't. It was so hot in the van that my Son got sick from the heat. Yes it's Mexico and gets hot, but why wouldn't the company invest in an axillary air conditioning unit to make it's guests comfortable. When I booked the tour I did so because I knew it would be hot and they said air conditioned vehicles. Would of been a great tour with a proper vehicle.

Hello Christopher, we apologize for the inconveniences that we caused you and your family here at Mazatlán. During your tour, thermic sensation was actually 122° F, this is why during some parts of the tour, vehicles could keep a cold temperature. That was one of the hottest and humid days had on summer.
Our vehicles A/C are always checked, more on summer time, but with our passengers getting on and off the vehicle, humidity gets in the vehicle every time we open the door.
Its not that hot and humid during summer time here at Mazatlán, it was just that day that was extremely hot and humid Christopher, our apologies.
