This is a definite must do trip. It is an early start but it's certainly worth it. Great communication from our guide Bhimo regarding pick up and he was happy to let us snooze in the car as he drove us to the site. He stayed with us on arrival to help us sort out the shoes and make sure we went off with the right group as it can be pretty busy. The trip itself was fantastic. Nothing can prepare you for the sight of the sun coming up over the mountains lighting up the temple. The breakfast at the site was great- something for everyone. Then our guide Bhimo was waiting for us when we came back to take us back to the hotel.

Hendra our driver was perfect. On time. Immaculate car. Great stories and a sensational driver in challenging traffic. Went over and above. Wouldn’t use anyone else when back in Jogja. Truly was part of the Borobudur and Prambanan experience

We had a lovely experience on the Borobudur sunrise trip from start to finish. Our driver, Dayu, was prompt, kind, and patient. He walked us through registration quickly and made sure we quickly connected with our tour guide at the temple. The trip up to the top was easy, even with our 6yo. The views were breathtaking and the whole experience was magical. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Yogyakarta!

An amazing experience seeing a human wonder with sunrise. Everything is taken care of (ticket to borobudur, transport, guide, breakfast...) so you just sit and enjoy the moment.Bring a jacket tho it gets cold. Fajar was an amazing driver always giving extra details about the country and culture. Highly recommand booking this experience at least 1 in life. 🙏🏻

This day trip was fantastic! We booked it via Borobudur Sunrise Tour and everything went extremely smoothly. Our guide Bhimo contacted us a day before the trip via WhatsApp and provided all the details we needed. On the day of our trip he arrived more than punctual, drove us safely to the different temples, organised the entrance, showed us where to go, brought us to our tour guides and gave us necessary information. Bhimo was very friendly, kind and funny and we felt really cared for. I can only recommend this driver and organisation since they basically do everything for you and you just have to show up.

The whole experience was great! Started with a confirmation of the pick up time by the driver, and a what’s app message when they arrived at the house. Then a very smooth ride to the temple with a great explanation of what was coming and a bit of history. Hanif took great care of us at the resort. We loved that we were allowed further into up at the temple than the normal tours, with this being a VIP tour. The guide was great in explaining the entire history of the temple and the basics of Buddhism. At around 5.30 we were able to find a good photo spot for the sunrise and just sitting there was a very nice way of waking up. After the tour there was a really nice breakfast with an Indonesian buffet, fruit and croissants for those less keen on Indonesian food. On the way back we had the option to also go to a Buddhist monastery but we choose to go home to sleep (as this was our second morning in a row getting up at 3.00). Worth every penny! Great experience!!!
