The tour was overall ok. I had written to them before leaving for our trip to Sicily and asked if hiking shoes were needed and their response was that you can use your sneakers , but you can rent hiking shoes with them. I took this as hiking shoes were optional ( sneakers were fine per the tour response ) after we got to Etna the tour guide insisted that hiking shoes were needed to continue on the tour and that they were available to rent. Since we didn’t come prepared we decided to stay at the parking area that had other trails that you could walk with sneakers and we just waited for the rest of the group to return from their crater hike. Be prepared to climb down into the caves and be able to climb out. I did like the small group of 8 so you could follow and hear our guide explain what we were seeing. The wine tasting was excellent, paired with food . This tasting in set in a restaurant. There no are vineyards to visit . This is a good introduction to both Mt. Etna and wine tasting .

This tour is a must do in Catania. Our tour guide was Bruna and I had an amazing time. Bruna knew exactly what to do at Etna, provided a lot of helpful context, and the lunch was a great opportunity to relax after hiking. A couple things I’d keep in mind: Dress for a hike, the cable car up starts at around 50 euro and going all the way up is closer 85 euro. We did the 50 euro option and hiked down because the peak didn’t have the best conditions.

Alessandro was brilliant, attentive and even after a little glitch in the morning through no fault of his own, was professional and attentive. His passion for volcanology and looking after people clearly showed and he was an excellent guide. The food and wine were unbelievable, as well as the setting. It was just a fantastic day all round, with people from all over the world. We started as strangers and ended as friends. Thank you for an unforgettable day.

This was an excellent tour of Mt Etna with our guide Itala who was very nice and knowledgeable. The landscape was amazing and we are glad we did the short hike around the craters. I recommend renting the trekking shoes or bringing your own. The lunch was excellent with the perfect amount of food. The wine pairings were also perfect for the dishes. Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for the perfect mix of Etna and wine.

Well worth it. A supercalifragilisticexpiaalidocious sojourn up Mt. Etna with wine and cheese! Hurrah!

We had an amazing time. The pick up and drop off was extremely efficient. Florence was a fantastic tour guide who was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The food and wine was absolutely delicious and much needed after Mt Etna. This was definitely a trip of a lifetime!

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing and unforgettable tour of the lower regions of Etna (up to 2000 metres), including tasting of wines, liquors and pesto, with our fantastic guide, Alessio, whose great passion for and knowledge of Mama Etna was obvious in his every word and gesture. He is the perfect guide, gentle, helpful, knowing, and we cannot strongly enough recommend him and EtnaTribe.

It was a fantastic trip, and a really good guide who gave us the time we needed, as well as good information about the volcano and its history.

It’s more hiking than you may think but it’s worth the effort to enjoy the views and experience something amazing. Salvo is an awesome guide, knows so much about the volcano, the area, and good wine!

Fantastic tour with Lorenzo. Very friendly, knowledgeable, flexible. Everyone's needs were met when exploring Mt Etna, whether walking, hiking or biking. Fantastic visit to enoteca winery. Great wine, ample food. We would highly recommend this your especially if you can request Lorenzo as your guide.
