Our favorite day of our Sicily trip. Great guide, volcano visit options for different ability levels, delicious food and wine tasting experience, and a lovely group to spend the day with.

We did a private tour since there were 11 of us. It was an unforgettable experience as a hailstorm occurred while we were mid hike to Etna. We were soaking but it was part of the adventure. We knew weather could change while we were there so while we didn’t think the rain would be that bad, it was definitely memorable. Our wine tasting lunch was a great treat after. There were plenty of wine and food to keep us stuffed! Would recommend this experience!

Great experience, very friendly guides, explain the history of the city and volcano very well, recommend greatly.

Excellent experience. We elected to walk to a recently formed volcanic crater over taking the cable car to Etna’s summit. Our guide was informed, dependable, and humorous, and the hike was manageable for a variety of skill and fitness levels. Large elevation gain to keep in mind, however. The wine tasting was delightful. We had lively conversation with other American tourists and enjoyed tasting a variety of reds, whites, and dessert liqueurs, accompanied by lunch fare over the course of about two hours.

I really enjoyed the experience and the knowledge with our tour operator Salvo R. He explained everything so well and we learned a lot about Mount Etna and the importance of it in Sicilian life. He made us feel welcome and comfortable during the hiking. I also loved the degustation of products like oil, and wine.

We really enjoyed our tour with our guide, Francesco. We were picked up at a convenient location. Francesco and the company provided helpful communication about the pick up and expectations. The tour of Etna surpassed our expectations. There was only one other couple on our tour. We all chose the hiking option rather than going up the cable car. We did not regret it. The hike was very manageable and the vistas were incredible. All the snow was gone at that level above the Refugio, but the wild flowers were in bloom which added a fantastic contrast to the black volcanic landscape. We learned so much from Francesco about the history of the eruptions and lava flows. The tasting was delicious. We were served various courses of traditional Sicilian food along with the tasting. Would highly recommend the tour!
