Our enjoyment and appreciation of our small group sunset Cinque Terre boat cruise with Captain Marco (lifetime Levanto local) and First Mate Antonio can not be overstated. Wonderful education and entertainment in equal proportions from Captain Marcos’s encyclopaedic local knowledge and insights. Swimming in calm azure water at a couple of select locations, delicious merenda of organic local produce including vegetarian (spinach) pastries, cheeses and salami - all freshly prepared. Ice cold beer, locally produced white wine and soft drinks / water were generously supplied. Personal anecdotes and tips for local travel and dining were imparted. Italian music on the return leg, culminating in spectacular sunset views prior to our disembarkation after a small tour time extension (allowing sun to set fully so we kind of got more than we paid for). Unequivocally the best and most enjoyable way to see and experience the beautiful Ligurian Coast and gain a unique perspective of the picturesque Cinque Terre. The cabin cruiser was a comfortable boat for a 3 hour sunset cruise. We enjoyed seaside views of the famous Cinque Terra fishing villages. The crew served us a choice of wine, beer, and Prosecco, three different choices of focaccia, and non alcoholic beverages. There was a nice stop for a swim too! And, there was a bathroom on board if needed!

This sunset cruise was worth every penny! Captain Marco and our host Antonio were the great team. Seeing Cinque Terre from the sea was the perfect perspective. Our shipmates on the trip were international, American, Argentinian, Australian and French, Captain Marco flowed seamlessly between languages and maneuvered the boat allowing everyone to get great pictures while explaining the history in great detail. We stopped to swim twice and enjoyed wonderful food and drink. It was truly a wonderful experience!

Not just a boat ride, Marco the captain guides you in an engaging experience by telling anecdotes and history of wonderful places like the 5 Terre. To finish, you eat and drink in company, nothing better.

Great time on a boat with Marco and his crew member, a dead ringer for Aldo Maccione! A very pleasant outing, in a friendly atmosphere full of good humor. Thank you for this beautiful moment, I recommend without hesitation!

I have done a lot of travelling, and been on a lot of boat trips, but this was definitely up there as one of the best. Even though I the captain and team must have done this a thousand times it felt like he was telling the stories for the first time, really amazing team, and the food and drinks we're top notch. A sunset boat trip I'll never forget, definitely helped by the eclipse, but even without the light show I would recommend it!

Unfortunately, this boat trip didn’t live up to our expectations, especially considering it cost over £100 per person. One of the biggest issues was that there were no toilets on deck, which made spending three hours on the boat quite uncomfortable. We were also disappointed that we didn’t receive a welcome drink or even any water on arrival. We then had to wait almost two hours before being served a glass of wine, which unfortunately was of poor quality and not very enjoyable. The nibbles provided were very sparse and certainly didn’t reflect the price paid. Just a slice of bread, 1 cheese and 1 salami. The only swim stop was around 10 minutes into the trip, which didn’t seem particularly well planned. Those who chose not to swim ended up getting soaked anyway as everyone climbed back on board, and made the boat seats and floor wet. and it felt like it would have made more sense to have the swim stop later in the tour. As the evening went on, the atmosphere became quite flat, everyone seemed to lose energy, and staying on the water for three hours without access to a toilet made the experience feel unnecessarily long. A short stop 15-20 ashore at some point would have made the trip much more enjoyable and comfortable. I appreciate the effort that goes into running these trips and understand they take a lot of organisation, but I didn’t feel this experience offered good value for money. The setting itself was beautiful, but overall the service, refreshments and planning fell well below expectations.

We just did the sunset tour of the five lands; to say it was enchanting is an understatement! Marco, the captain, is a wonderful person!!! The tour was truly amazing; we made two swimming stops, saw the five lands from the sea, and spotted many dolphins… but the most precious thing was meeting Marco, truly an incredible man! His staff is also very pleasant and friendly! An experience definitely worth having! THANK YOU, MARCO!

We had the chance to book this experience during our trip in 2023 (I could not go so far back in time). I didn't have the chance to write a review at the time, but it was such an amazing and strong memory, we still have stars in our eyes every time we think about it, and send our friends who are visiting there. The tour, the food, the atmosphere, the dive in the middle of the sea... everything was magical! The limited size of the group creates intimacy. Marco is an amazing host and captain, on top of being one of the kindest and most knowledgable and inspiring human being we had the chance to meet during our trip.
