Our experience was amazing. Our guide Suresh was excellent. His knowledge of the city and history of the country was incredible. He was very patient with us and sequenced the stops perfectly. The food on the tour was also outstanding. The final wine tasting was just the right finish to the experience.
The walking tour was very interesting with foods I never experienced before. It was all Cape Town flavors and i learned about Rooibos tea which I continued to enjoy during the rest of African tour. I bought some back in the USA too! Our guide Keegan was enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable.
It was an amazing experience, not only culinary, but also historical. We got an excellent sense of the city and got to see the major attractions as well. Our guide, Rupesh, was warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He told us so much about the culture, history, as well as the very very culinary aspects of Cape Town. We would highly recommend this tour. It is the best way to learn about Cape Town. You really get to become acquainted with the city and his people through its food.
We were lucky to have Rupesh guide us around Cape Town. This is truly one of the best ways to tour the city, understand it's history, see it's vibrant core, and taste the wonderful melding of the culture here. The tour was thoughtfully done and very easy too. Take the advice of the company, and come hungry because you won't be able to finish the food given!
2 US inbounds, first time to Cape Town, many food tours prior (while visiting other countries). Positively wonderful food tour from top to bottom. Well curated eateries and tastings. Fabulous owners and, in most cases, met those owners in-person and their small treasures. So much more personal with great moments and laughter as well as education about our surrounds and culture. Highly recommend! Rupesh was a delight as a guide and made us feel like best friends!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Cape Town food tour with Suresh. This was our first food tour, and it exceeded our expectations. We especially appreciated the way Suresh combined visits to local, independently and family-owned establishments with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Cape Town’s culture and history. I particularly enjoyed Suresh’s references to places featured on Somebody Feed Phil, which added another fun and interesting dimension to the tour. As we walked through the city, Suresh shared Cape Town’s history and provided context about the neighborhoods we were exploring. His genuine appreciation for each establishment—and for the people behind them—really came through. The experience also felt very personal. Suresh knew the owners at the places we visited, and each establishment made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. Those relationships made the tour feel much more authentic than simply visiting a collection of restaurants. Perhaps the best endorsement we can give Suresh is that this experience has changed the way my wife and I will travel. We enjoyed the tour so much that, going forward, we plan to seek out food tours whenever we visit a new city.

We wanted a way of exploring Capetown and the food of the area. What a great experience it turned out to be! Rupesh was so knowledgeable and personable and took us to a variety of places to discover so many different cultures and cuisines! Each place and proprietor were better than the last. We loved every minute of it and he even provided ideas for where to go after our tour. The tour was excellent and we have already recommended it to others!
I cannot ever say enough good things about Zee and about this food tour. This was my third time doing it (sort of!), but the first time that I did it all the way through. In 2025, I studied abroad in Cape Town and joined my parents and my sister (who visited separately) on parts of the tour. Now I am back with my grandfather and I am so pleased that I was finally able to do the full tour. This is one of if not THE best food tour I have ever done and I have done them on multiple continents in many places. Zee is so incredibly knowledgeable, but more importantly she is kind and she is willing to share her life story and experiences. We are so grateful for having been able to hear from her. This tour is incredible - from the food, to the history, to the sites, to every conversation, it was an 11/10 tour. I highly recommend.
The small group experience was so much fun. I was a solo traveler and was a part of the small group. The guide was so nice and knew all the individual stops personally before he started doing the tour. Fair warning, there is so much good food, that it is best to pace yourself. And if you don't a nap is a good choice after. I had an amazing time and it was worth every penny spent and kilometer walked.
