Very beautiful panorama of Ho Chi Minh City. From the 49th floor, the view is breathtaking! In our opinion, the experience is even more impressive once night falls when the city's buildings light up. The prices (240,000 Dong/person) are quite reasonable for this type of visit.
This tower was the tallest building in Vietnam from 2010 to 2018 (until Landmark 81 opened a few kilometers away). Although the skydeck of Landmark 81 is about 200m higher, I think the Bitexco tower is still the best choice for a view of the city as the skydeck gives a beautiful view of the historic center (District 1) from the middle and of Landmark 81 itself. From this skydeck you can really distinguish all important monuments. The Bitexco tower is still considered the icon of the skyline, mainly because of its striking shape, inspired by a lotus flower.
Super easy to buy ticket on arrival on level 4 and we walked straight into lift and were smoothly on level 49 in seconds. It was a little expensive by Vietnamese standards, but not unreasonable by western standards. We went on the last evening of a 5 day visit to Ho Chi Minh City at 5.30pm hoping to catch sunset at 6.20pm… but unfortunately it was cloudy. None the less, it was totally worthwhile to see the city in daylight, spotting all the landmarks and buildings we had visited in previous days. It gave us an entirely different perspective of the city, the river winding through, and the sheer expanse of it. We stayed around an hour doing a few laps of the 360deg platform and really enjoyed seeing the city light and various buildings and bridges put on light shows as evening fell. Totally worthwhile.

Beautiful view of the city from above. Worth a visit. The ticket is cheaper than other similar buildings around the world. It is not the tallest building in Saigon, Landmark 81 holds that title. Not very crowded, in the evening.
A wonderful experience to have, but the price is a bit high for a visit that lasts only 10 to 15 minutes
