Do not book the ticket via this link on Viator. They never sent us the QR code, the booking wasn’t accepted at the entrance of the temple! The staff on the site kindly called the Chinese number on the booking to ask for the QR code but the number was wrong! The person who picked up the phone wasn’t an agency at all! We ended up buying tickets on the site. I hope to get a refund for these tickets.
We are sorry, upon checking we have send the QR code to everyone, we suggest you to download the QR code 5 days in advance. And you can call or email us when have problem. The QR when make booking on viator is not your ticket. Sorry for the inconenience caused
The temple was very beautiful and a great experience overall. Jay also was a great guide, very kind and knowlegeable!
Brilliant. Loved everything about it. So much devotion demonstrated by local visitors. Astonishing architecture and particularly statuary. Easy to book (I booked through TripAdvisor as the weixin site was not readily accessible here). Easy to find and entry was seamless. Would definitely recommend it to be included in any visit to Beijing.
Mina was great to desribe the history and usage of all the buildings inside the Lama Temple, explain the religious details and provide subtleties about the treasuries like big sandal wood Buddha Martreya statue. All in good English. Lama Temple is very popular place, even on working days, so be prepared. (Mina secured the place in the queue and provided the ticket / QR, so it was easier). The temple is definitely worth visiting.
It was a very bad experience, I arrived at the temple and when I passed the ticket they sent me that was not a QR code, they told me at the ticket office that it was not valid, although I had already paid for it there was Thor because the temple does not sell tickets on online platforms, so I had to buy a ticket again, that is, I lost the money I paid on Viator.
The visit was cancelled due to the weather, but we first knew when we stood in front of the temple. We were asked to give a review of an experience that we haven’t had 🙂↕️. We wrote that we wanted a refund but we haven’t got an answer yet….
Let there be no misunderstanding here: all tickets are issued directly by the scenic spot, and if you claim not to have received yours, we clearly provided a contact number for you to reach out at any time. What’s more, if there really was an issue with the ticket, you should have filed a refund request through the platform—we would have processed it for you if the ticket was indeed unused. Yet for some reason, you chose to leave a negative review outright without ever requesting a refund, and without that request, we have no way to check the status of your ticket at all.
They sent me a fake QR where it was showing that was refund, however nothing was in my bank account and I had to pay in the Temple. They are refusing to give me to money back and stopped to answering my messages. Think twice before buying the tickets with this scam people.

Great experience for the visit of the temple of the Lamas, thanks to the flexibility for the acquisition of the ticket, it was possible to change the date and be able to see the temple on the best day up to a few days before, receiving a QR code for remote entry a few days before.
She was really kind and everything was outstanding!! All the explanations were perfect and we learnt pretty much with her
