My daughter and I did the zipline and Tarzan tour. The experience was fantastic, the views were spectacular. The ziplines and equipment are in perfect condition. The staff is super friendly and attentive. They gave us super detailed instructions and helped us at all times. Also, the photography service is super good; some divine photos and videos came out. Without a doubt, I recommend it to anyone coming to the area. Finally, the Tarzan experience was unique.
I had a concerning experience at EcoGlide Arenal Park. During the zipline tour, I was instructed by a guide to proceed while another participant was still at the end of the line. This resulted in a collision, and I suffered a broken nose and other injuries requiring medical treatment. The company did cover my initial urgent care in Costa Rica, which I appreciated. They later indicated that the guide involved was no longer employed following the incident. However, my total medical expenses have since exceeded $1,600 and are still ongoing. Resolving reimbursement has been difficult, and after several months, I received only a partial offer that does not come close to covering my costs. Ziplining depends heavily on proper spacing and clear communication from guides, so this type of error is concerning from a safety standpoint. I would encourage others to carefully consider safety practices when choosing a tour operator.
Very well run and fun for the whole family. From beginning to end you will feel safe and prepared. There are plenty of guides and they are all helpful.
We went with 2 adults and a 5 and 7 year old. We had such a blast! The Tarzan swing is a must! SO. MUCH. FUN. This will definitely be a highlight of our costa rica trip. 10/10 recommend.

This was such an amazing experience for all ages. Youngest is 5 oldest is 60 in our family and we all loved it equally the same! The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable! Would book with them again!!
The canopy tour is incredible! The guides are so friendly and the whole experience is thrilling and feels really safe, even for young children. Highly recommend!
We had a very unfortunate experience at Ecoglide. Their reservation form online is confusing and needs to be updated. Their male staff member was machismo and aggressive and persisted to yell at us while we attempted to calmly problem solve a solution. They refused any type of refund. Spend your money elsewhere. We were driving ourselves there and did not understand they had planned to pick us up at the hotel from their form. We were coming from another tour - so we would have never agreed to that. Our previous tour ran a few minutes over and there was traffic so we were unfortunately 12 minutes late. When we arrived we were greeted by an angry machismo man who spoke to us very harshly with a stern voice stating the tour was gone already. The lady at the counter was slightly more understanding but the man continued to yell over her insisting to us that it’s not happening and that it’s our fault. We asked if someone could drive us to the group since surely they weren’t too far ahead of us but they said it was not possible. We accepted fault for the slight lateness and asked if we could do a later tour. They offered us for the next day but we are flying out early in the am. In light of the situation and not being able to join the next day we requested a partial refund and they refused. I could understand the lack of refund if we were “no shows” but we were a family of 3 and had paid in advance. We had intended to be on time and many things in Costa Rica run on “Tico time” and we just didn’t know it was going to be such a harsh cut off. So beware! If you do book with this company don’t be late or they will eat your money. This is one of the most expensive zip lines in the area and we were looking forward to supporting them. After our experience with the staff I’m glad we ended up somewhere else. However, partial refund would be appropriate - even if something small as a token would be a better business model for the future. I hope these reviews encourage them to update their form and add a box to check for customers who are driving themselves, they consider partial refunds for extenuating situations where coming another day isn’t possible, and I hope their male employee working 2/21/26 at 3pm is reprimanded for yelling unnecessarily at customers in a very inappropriate manner. His tone was completely unprofessional and offensive. I don’t want to support any business that supports people like him. There are tons of zip lining options in the area- for a good time- go somewhere else. I guess there are reasons why their latest TripAdvisor award displayed is from 2011.

Regarding your reservation, when a tour is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., that is the last departure of the day. Once the group leaves the reception area and begins the course, for safety and logistical reasons it is not possible to transport guests to join the group along the way. We understand that you arrived 12 minutes late due to circumstances beyond your control; however, by that time the tour had already departed. As with all tour operators, our cancellation and late-arrival policies are provided and accepted at the time of booking. These policies state that in the case of late arrival or no-show, refunds do not apply. Our only available option was to reschedule for the following day, which is our standard procedure. We completely understand that this was not possible for you due to your early flight. It is never our intention to “keep someone’s money,” but rather to operate under clear policies that allow us to manage tours responsibly and safely. Regarding your concern about our staff member’s behavior, we sincerely apologize if you felt uncomfortable or disrespected. That is not the level of service we strive to provide. We take your comments seriously and will review the situation internally to ensure that communication with our guests is always respectful and professional. We also appreciate your suggestion about improving our reservation form. We are always open to enhancing our processes to avoid misunderstandings, especially concerning transportation or self-driving arrangements. Finally, if someday in the near future you decide to return to the area and would like to complete the experience, we would be more than happy to reschedule your tour. My family (me, husband, and kiddos age 7 and 9) loved Ecoglide. Everything felt safe and secure with good instructions, and the instructors were amazing with the kids. There were a few lines that my 7yo was too small/light to do himself, so an instructor went tandem with him. We didn’t pay in advance for the Tarzan swing, but my 9yo decided to do it when we were up there. He loved it! Recommend the earliest time slot for a smaller group. We had fewer than 20 people total and it allowed us to move efficiently off the platforms. Shoutout to Angel, Alex, and Anderson! You guys are the best! Also, that evening at dinner in town, another employee spotted my son’s Ecoglide shirt and he stopped to talk to us about our experience. He was genuinely such a nice guy!

I chose Ecoglide based on reviews from others than brought young children. We took my 5 year old grandson and while he has an adventurous spirit he was a little apprehensive and we were happy he’d be tandem with a guide. We expected to be able to at least see him but they insisted he be at the front of the line. I wanted one of us to go before him and one after him so we could enjoy the experience with him. Being 2 people behind him, I didn’t get to see him on a single line. At the break at the Tarzan swing he asked if we could quit. I talked him into finishing and afterward he said the guy with him wasn’t very nice, the only thing he said to him the whole time was “Sit down”. I bought the pictures and there’s not a single picture of him or the guide with him smiling. Previous reviews boasted how great the guides were at making it fun for little ones. That was not our experience at all.
