Our walking Guide Shirley gave us a great tour around Hahndorf with knowledgeable insights from the history of the town. You can tell from Shirley’s enthusiasm she loves the town. Very enjoyable, I would highly recommend this tour.

This was a very interesting tour learning the history of this Germanic community. Sharon shares a tremendous amount of knowledge about the people who undertook a very arduous journey to South Australia over 100 years ago. She guided our small group through some of the original buildings while telling the stories about the challenges the people had in their "escape" from unjust rulers and learning to co-exist with the native people of the area. We could appreciate the pioneers' tenacity as their built a new life. The town of Hahndorf offered great German cuisine.

Such a great walk to do. Unbeknown to me my son and I booked our tour for a public holiday. On arrival we discovered we were the only ones booked. Sharon not only turned up on the holiday she conducted an exceptional private tour. Loved every minute of it. Such a knowledgeable local. Thank you Sharon.

We highly recommend taking these tours. We did the morning Strassendorf and the afternoon Hufendorf tours. We were treated to so many hidden gems and privy to some opportunities not available to the general public. Lorraine was very knowledgeable and open to my many, many questions. What Lorraine couldn’t answer she found out and let us know. We will definitely be back for the night tour. Thanks Lorraine.

Very lucky yesterday to have Loraine doing our walking tour of Haandorf. So much knowledge of the area, and "trainee" Shirley also added in some extra info too. Lovely ladies. We were the only two on the tour, so very appreciative that it went ahead. Great work.

Travelling with family, friends and dog, Sharon Pippos of Hahndorf Walking Tours arranged a wonderful exploration of the outside areas of The Cedars. We were welcomed to this country by Ivan Copley who led the walk with Sharon. He spoke about Peramangk history of the place and current cultural connections, Sharon spoke of Lutheran and other recent history of the area, including the Heyson family art history, both bounced off each other talking of interactions between the groups who have luved in and around the area. There was even a snake. A thoroughly delightful walk that gave lots to think about.
