Beautiful and majestic. Competes with Louvre. But, it was so hot with this heatwave. I plan to return in a cooler month.

The third party, Royal Experience, where we had to go pick up our tickets, customer service was poor.

Not a great experience. Had tickets for 4:30, or so we thought. They were vouchers that were needed to redeem for the tickets. We told to redeem the tickets 30 minutes ahead and given a redemption point to do so. Problem was it was a 20 minute walk from the Vatican entrance. Night before, got an email saying ticket was pushed back an hour yo 5:30 with redemption at 5:00. Ok. Went to the redemption point at 5:00 and it was closed up. No one there. After repeated attempts to get in touch by chat on Viator website we were able to call customer support in New York. They could not get in contact with local tour operator. Was just going to give up and leave the redemption point when the local tour operator emailed us the tickets at about 5:40. So after 20 minute walk back was able to enter the Vatican at 6:00. It closed at 8:00 so was a very rushed visit to see everything, but as it was our last night in Rome better than missing it.

No problem. In line with promises: quick entry with skip-the-line access.

Everything worked exactly as promised at the time of purchase. On the visit, the non-chilled tickets were a big difference, allowing quick entry and no complications, which made all the difference, especially by the number of visitors. The process was simple, well organized and the instructions in the app were clear and easy to follow. Even without a guide, we were able to enjoy the visit in peace and at our own pace.

Tickets extremely expensive compared with oficial prices. Although we got what we were expecting to get.

It is important to know that even in the colder months this tour was absolutely packed, with some of the museum so busy that at several points the crowd can’t even move forward.

We were able to get the tickets, but not without a little drama. With the year of the Jubilee and some Catholic church leaders in town, the Vatican was packed and the tour company called me saying they would not be able to get me tickets for the time slot we were looking for. They did work to get me tickets close to the time slot and ended up only 1/2 hour off of the original time. The experience felt rushed but the Sistene Chapel was simply amazing and the Vatican museums were really interesting as well. You have to walk through all of the museums before getting to the Sistene Chapel at the end, which is quite a walk because of how expansive it is.

We booked for a 12:30 vatican tour sched- but was moved to 5:30 WITHOUT prior notice. Our schedule for the day was disrupted.
