We had a fantastic day out with our guide and driver Winton. Learned a lot about the history of Sandwich Harbour and took in some amazing views. Spotted flamingos in flight at Walvis Bay in the morning and springbok, oryx and a couple of jackals in the Namib Desert in the afternoon. We were treated to a sumptuous lunch and refreshments before heading off for a thrilling desert drive over the dunes. We had a brilliant afternoon with our guide, Winton! He showed us the most beautiful viewpoints and told us all about Sandwich Harbour. The Sandwich Harbor tour with Winton was a wonderful experience! The route included the pink salt ponds, a drive along the coast where the dunes and the ocean meet, which was spectacular. The drive over the dunes was challenging but we felt very safe. The view of Sandwich Harbor from the dunes was beautiful. Winton the guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. The explanations were fascinating, and thanks to him we also got to see flocks of cormorants, seals, oryx and springboc. We could stop at every corner and take pictures and enjoy the view. The meal was rich and drinks were plentiful. The trip with Winton is highly recommended.

We took the tour with Gerhard as our guide, and we couldn't have asked for better! The tour itself is absolutely breathtaking, but what makes it perfect are Gerhard's explanations, as he is a well of knowledge and culture not only about the area but about all of Namibia and its customs and traditions. The next time we return, we will definitely call him for another tour.
