I woke up violently ill so needed to cancel. I sent a note to the operator asking if we could go the following day as I was sick. Never heard back.

Your review is factually incorrect.
You state that you "never heard back." That is simply false.
You contacted us on February 8 at 9:22 a.m., approximately one hour before your tour was due to start, after you had already become a no-show under our 24-hour cancellation policy. That policy, which is clearly stated at the time of booking, provides no refund or rescheduling for cancellations made within 24 hours.
Despite having no obligation to do so, we replied the same day and offered you two complimentary places on the following day's tour (February 9). We absorbed that cost ourselves by giving up seats that could otherwise have been sold to paying guests.
Offering an alternative date was a goodwill gesture, not something you were entitled to under the booking terms.
The disappointing part is not that you became ill; unfortunately, that can happen to anyone. The disappointing part is that you chose to leave a one-star review claiming we "never heard back" when our response offering you a free alternative date exists in writing. Future customers deserve an accurate account of what actually happened.

Fantastic history tour with an amazing guide!
This was an excellent 2.5-hour tour that covered a ton of ground. Our guide, Lilly, was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and did a fantastic job of engaging everyone in the conversation. Because we had a small group, the whole experience felt very personal. I learned so much about Sydney’s fascinating history and got to see some incredible sights along the way.
Pro-Tip: I took this tour on my very last day in Sydney, but I highly recommend booking it for one of your first days here instead. It’s the perfect introduction for anyone who loves history and wants to get their bearings. Great tour!

First day must
Definitely a must. I did the tour on my last day in Sydney, I'd recommend to do it on the first. Mostly downhill, easy walk. Lilly is a great guide.

Sydney has a lot to see and do so this tour is great for when you arrive
Lilly was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable and pleasant Maybe walked a little fast but we all caught up There is definitely a lot of walking and ups and downs so if you have mobility challenges this is not for you , otherwise if you can walk for 2 hours with a bathroom break then you will be fine. I’m 69 years old and had no trouble A lot to see and a lot of history told We covered a lot of area and it was a great tour We went back to a couple places to explore more after the tour was over

Amazing tour of Melbourne - thank you Hugo!
I was the only person booked on the tour but Hugo kindly went ahead with the tour anyway and tailored it to me as I was the only person. We saw SO much, I don't know how we managed to fit it all in. Hugo was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I really enjoyed every moment of the tour and especially the learning about the history of Melbourne (and I liked hearing all about Ned Kelly) and Doing the Block and tasting food samples at the Queen Victoria Market. We finished off the tour with a photo at the 1970's Flinders Street Photo Booth. We got donuts from a famous donut stand that's been around over 70 years, had a drink in Young & Jacksons pub (with Chloe, if you know you know) We tried to get oysters from Muli Express en route but it wasn't open so I went back later that evening and they were incredible - thanks for the recommendation Hugo! Hugo also gave me recommendations for everything from food to things to do with my time after the tour which I really appreciated. A great overview of Melbourne and a very enjoyable tour - highly recommend!

A Great Start to Our Time in Sydney.
The tour lasted roughly three hours and our guide Lily squeezed a lot of information in. The pace and commentary was relaxed and we learnt a great deal about Sydney. Lily was knowledgeable and passionate about the city and had a good sense of humour. The time flew by and we would definitely recommend this tour as an orientation upon arrival. Thank you!

LeeLee (spelling?) was great! Learned so much from her. And took one of her suggested walks after the tour. And had a fabulous lunch while in the Rocks.
