This walking tour was excellent. Tom was very knowledgeable, polite and congenial. The tour was interesting and captivating throughout, and conducted at a steady pace. We both loved his digressions; imparting a wealth of unusual and interesting facts. As a historian, I found this tour informative and thoroughly enjoyable and would heartily recommend it.

Tom was extremely knowledgable bringing to life areas in the city we have passed many times but not realised their historical significance, or what lay beneath them! It was really amazing to get 2000yrs of history into a couple of hours and to be given links to the talk afterwards via email so we can go back and visit other places to learn more. Tom really knows his stuff! He has put together a really interesting and well crafted tour, paced just right, and delivered with style. I thought I knew London quite well but still learned a lot. He also does a nice job of signposting other free-to-enter historic places on the route, if you have more time after the tour finishes. Highly recommended.

I booked this tour because I wanted to know about London’s ancient roots. This tour answered all my questions, and it was a really very well articulated presentation. The leader Tom is very intelligent and takes his work seriously – although he does have a wee sense of humor. I found it very informative and I would recommend it to anyone.
