ラ・カルボネーラツアー。 広大なワックスパームの森

I absolutely loved this tour! It was the highlight of my trip to Colombia and one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Our fantastic tour guide Jeffrey and our driver picked us up in a Jeep and drove us about 2 hours away through forest and farmland to the wax palm reserve. The reserve was breathtakingly gorgeous, and Jeffrey led us on a moderately long hike through the reserve, stopping often to share his wealth of knowledge about the plants, animals, and insects in the area. Jeffrey has a biology background, and he was so excited to show us things and clearly was very passionate about his work. He provided a vegan bagged lunch for us (we specified that we were vegan) which we enjoyed while overlooking the beautiful wax palms. After finishing the hike, we rode back down and stopped for a delicious traditional Colombian lunch (made vegan especially for us) at a small roadside restaurant where they had several friendly dogs who joined us. Jeffrey then took us to see a small waterfall near the restaurant, and we also saw several beautiful hummingbirds. My one tip would be to bring good hiking shoes, because some of the ground is soft with occasional potholes that you can’t see, and I found it a little bit precarious (but still doable) with regular sneakers. All in all, this was a fantastic tour with an exceptional guide and driver. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Salento who wants to experience a beautiful hike and be immersed in nature.

We had the most incredible day ever with our guide Jason at the Carbonera Valley. Besides the location which is absolutely gorgeous and one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in my life, the Cocoratours team made our day so unique and special. From the little snack bags they had prepped for us to the delicious lunch waiting for us in a cute little finca, all of our needs were taken care of. Jason was extremely nice and funny and made us feel very special — he treated us not just as tourists, but as friends he was excited to share this amazing place with. His English is incredible, and he switched from English to Spanish seamlessly. The tour took us the whole day — we took our time and never felt rushed. Our driver was also amazing at navigating the difficult road conditions. Taking this tour was the best decision I’ve made, and I highly recommend it!!

Incredible tour through the Carbonera forest. The Jeep Willis experience to get to La Carbonera is a must to enjoy the landscape.

Fabulous experience with Ferney and Robin biting an exceptional day between mountain scenery and wax palm valley all higher than the others. We were extremely well accompanied by our Driver and Guide, I recommend 1000%. Thanks again to them.
