Great training, great experience, great price! I’m a 62 year-old female and felt safe and supervised during my dive. I’m now considering being certified!

A very good experience for my first time diving; Cesar, the guide, was incredibly patient with me, accompanied me at all times, and made me feel very safe. The captain of the boat, José, was very experienced and professional. Thank you both very much!

We had an amazing time on our discovery SCUBA dive. Lucas, our instructor, was an excellent teacher and explained all the concepts we needed clearly, taking care to make sure we understood along the way. Once on the dive, we felt like we were diving with a friend as he allowed us reasonable freedom to explore. We especially appreciated his attention to the wildlife - he pointed out several interesting fish and other critters. We’re looking into our PADI cert when we get home!

Doctor Dive and their instructors were the best start to scuba! Snorkeling does not match the intensity and immersion of scuba. The highlight was being able to swim by living coral reef and fish close to 40ft below the surface! Cesar was also very helpful throughout the entire process. He gave clear and direct instructions. Throughout the scuba portion he helped tremendously with my buoyancy issues and provided a steady arm to assist with swimming. I literally could not have done it without him.

Absolutely phenomenal first diving experience! We were a bit nervous especially descending but our guide Cesar was excellent and made us feel so safe and secure. We were saying we’d come back just to dive with Dr Dive again. Perfect amount of education, practice and dive time and what a beautiful and unforgettable experience. They even had fresh pineapple, cake and cucumber water for after the dive. 12/10 and great value for the cost

best day ever for our first scuba dive ever. We were a bit nervous and Cesar made us feel so comfortable and safe. We went to “the aquarium” site just a short boat ride away from the dive shop and saw unreal coral reefs and so many different fish. We were well equipped with everything we needed to know in the briefing time and made to feel very secure. Absolutely incredible experience I’d reccomend to anyone especially with Cesar!! they had everything we needed, great quality equipment and wetsuits provided and even cucumber water, fresh pineapple and cake when we got back. incredible value for what we paid- we were alone with a guide just us 2 and felt super supported and safe. unforgettable day !!

We had an amazing time! This was everyone’s first time scuba diving, and it was a great first experience. The staff was super comforting and gave us one-on-one support while we were diving. We came from the cruise ship and it was an easy taxi to and from. We landed on a sunny day with good visibility, but most importantly the instructors make sure everybody was comfortable and had a great time. Would definitely go back and do it again!

Do this!! The instructors were great, it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. I am SO going to learn to scuba!

I am very very happy with Lucia and Antonio from Doctor Dive. They are so patient and thorough. Even though we are certified, they still make sure to go through set by set, important things unlike my previous experience with other places. They made sure we are comfortable and checked on us each time we go down. Highly recommended to those who wants to try scuba diving in Costa Maya. We just walked out to take a taxi, per person was $5 to beach area.

First time doing any kind of scuba dive and this was a wonderful experience! Lucas at Doctor Dive was our guide and he was so patient and thorough. I had a lovely time exploring the reefs of Mahahual. If you are coming from a cruise ship at the port of Costa Maya, it’s a quick cheap taxi ride from just outside the port to the Malecon downtown area, and then a couple blocks’ walk to Yaya Beach where Doctor Dive is located. I was very glad we opted for this excursion instead of a beach club because the smell of the sargassum was overpowering, and our time in port wasn’t long enough for most other excursions in the area.
