Pick was a nightmare for us as were were on golf Del sur which this company do not cater for pick up so an extra 30 euro each way. Hard to hear guide on bus as sound system was poor. Sunset experience was good but then we were informed the bus had broken down and we had to wait another 45 mins for new bus. This meant the dinner was waiting that extra time. This is where the real problem is….. the food is DISGUSTING . Greasy tasteless soup hard bread rolls rude staff - chicken that was actually turkey leg meat only no breast of chicken in oily clear ‘gravy’ 2 tiny potatoes fired at us by rude waitress. Toilets were filthy flush not working dirt on floor - it’s 2026 it’s just not acceptable we paid 90 euro each for this. Stargazing itself was good but Craig needed amplification as it was hard to hear sometimes. Very late return 1.30 am just wasn’t expecting it to be so late. If I was to do again - no dinner inc for sure. Overall 3/5

Small group star gazing trip with Active Tenerife Wow! The experience was something I’ll remember for life. The knowledge and passion Ben has for his work just transported us to a different world up in the stars. From the social experience of canarian food delights to the technical telescope that could just man on the moon!

Brilliant - 2nd time we've done this trip, this time as part of a much larger group of 11 of us. Food was good and scenary going up Teide was awesome. The stars were incredible to see and Kierans knowledge and telling stories was funny and compelling; and Craig was brilliant as well. You really won't be disappointed folks, well worth the money and a hell of an incredible experience seeing the stars, satellites and cosmos all around. Thanks Guys, will be seeing you again next time we're back in Tenerife. Don Graham

Brilliant experience. Our bus picked us up right outside our hotel Best Tenerife in Las Americas. Trev around the corner from our hotel hooked the whole experience up. Jet skis ect. Fantastic from trev. Explained the whole process down the the final detail. The tour guide i cannot remember his name but he was fantastic (maguel*) i think was his name. Knowledgeable on everything from the volcano history, to the tress and plant life of tenerefe and the history of the island. Very interesting. 1000% reccomend

Night Skies Tenerife provided an excellent excursion starting late afternoon and ending back at our hotel before midnight. The coach stopped at several convenient pick-up points in South West Tenerife and took us up the hills to watch the sun setting into the sea beyond the three Western Canary Islands. Plenty of time for photos with a glass of cold cava each. Then further up into the old crater of Mount Tiede and a reasonable dinner at Restaurant Bambi. After dinner, the two experienced and knowledgeable English-speaking guides and their two assistants had set up four proper telescopes in the car park for amazing star gazing in crystal clear skies with no light pollution. Great to be with guides keen to share their extensive knowledge.

Couldn’t fault it from start to finish, everything ran seamlessly, sun set spot was great and guide and astronomical expert so knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend

Would just like to give a big shout out to Claire at First excursions in Las Americas. She was absolutely brilliant with us when we booked several excursions, shows and trips. This is our first time in Tenerife so she even gave us recommendations on restaurants and different things around our hotel. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

We have been going to Tenerife for over 20yrs twice/ three times a year never been up Mount Tiede this was the year went to First Tenerife after following Matt . We met Richie lovley lad but rather misled us told him I wanted visit Tiede he talked us into the stargazing tour we were led to believe mini bus small numbers but actually 52 seater coach turned up the whole experiance was dreadful!!! Already reviewed on this, we went back i to First Tenerife next day to a lovley lady who I sincerly apologise name evades me (awful cos she was so lovley) it was day of yr xmas night out! she sorted a €50 refund from first tenerife ( Keiran night skies no chance) thank you cant describe how disappointed we were with this trip, we are back in May with our 2 grandaughters (16/ 18) who want to jet ski, paraglide and sail the seas we will defo be back to First Tenerife Excursions but Richie no disrespect maybe listen to what your custmers really want date of travel 12th - 19th Dec

Dreadful experience. We spent two and a half hours on the coach only to be told that the opportunity to take sunset pictures had been cancelled due to adverse weather. We travelled on to the restaurant. I can only assume the restaurant opened specifically for our party. It was cold, and we sat eating without removing jackets - it was too cold. The food was of “school dinner” quality. When we finally arrived at the site to observe the stars, we would see that the temperature outside was 3 degrees. Factoring in the wind chill (it was windy!) meant the actual temperature felt like minus 10. We didn’t even have the option to get warm on the bus, since the driver switched off the engine & there was no heat until we started our return journey. Overall? If you want to spend hours on a coach with short breaks for a very average dinner and some star-gazing in the freezing cold? You might enjoy this. Otherwise? Avoid like the plague!
