Lena, our driver/tour guide was excellent - very welcoming and informative. Has a great sense of humour, and we appreciated all her local knowledge.

Fun Day. Long Day but you get a chance to see just about everything.

The tour covered a lot of ground. The tour guide was knowledgeable and provided many interesting facts & details.

This was honestly the worst tour I have been on! I cannot believe the guide- Henry was burping the majority of the trip..very little dialog tour bus was mostly quite. Left us at the beach in the rain for an hour. No snorkeling equipment provided- which was clearly mentioned- 25 minutes at the dole plantation.. I honesty would like my money back on this!! This is a F rating

That you do have the chance to experience the stops to decide if you want to return. I was looking forward to one visit Haleiwa but instead of being given one hour and a chance to snorkel we were dropped off for an hour and half. We had been experiencing off and on weather! We stood in a fairly heavy rain all the while another couple tried to get hold of our guide, Henry, to come back and get us. The dispatcher said she called him 3 times and no answer!! There were several of us huddled under a small roof area! I asked Henry about Haleiwa and was told the map in the bus was an old one and we wouldn’t be going!

Overall, the tour was good and showed us so much of the island. Enjoyed the stops at Diamond Head Crater, the Halona Blowhole, the macadamia nut farm, the Chinaman's Hat, seeing the turtles, Haleiwa and the Dole Plantation. Our tour guide, Leena, was a local and had so much history to share about the culture. Plenty of places to use a restroom if you needed one too. The downside was this was easily a 12-hour tour that could have been pared down to 8 or 9 hours easily. Too many stops that offered the same type of products (macadamia nuts, fresh fruit, coffee, etc.). I have a feeling the tour provider gets a kick back from stopping at these places as there were MANY. I would have preferred to do less of those types of stops and more of the sightseeing areas. We were asked by the tour provider to be ready for 7am and the tour guide was late. She did call me to let me know she would be late. We then proceeded to drive around Waikiki for an hour in a repetitive loop until we could pick up passengers from the cruise terminal. It may have been better to have picked up the cruise ship passengers first and then everyone from the hotels in Waikiki last. Also, you could barely hear the tour guide on the intercom in the bus which made people towards the back of the bus to not hear her. We were picked up around 7:15am at the ABC Store and brought back directly to our hotel just before 7 pm. We were exhausted. Good thing we had a beach day planned the next day because we needed it!

My family and I booked the Oahu Grand Circle Island Tour through Viator and we were assigned Aloha Sunshine Tours as our tour operator. First, when booking we were told they would pick us up at the Hale Koa even though we couldn’t select it as our pick up location at booking and we just had to contact the tour operator and let them know we were staying at the Hale Koa. When we did that, they told us they wouldn’t be able to pick us up there and we could do ABC Stores at the Hilton resort next door. Well we’re also traveling with family and they accidentally picked a location that’s a 10 minute uber from our hotel. Cut to the day before our tour and our pick up time was moved from 9 AM to 7:30 AM at a location that was a 3-minute walk from a hotel we weren’t staying at. We were finally able to get through to the operator on the phone and they moved our pickup to the Hilton next door because the person on the phone said they can’t pick up at the Hale Koa, which we were fine with. They called back a few minutes later and all of a sudden said they’d pick us up at the Hale Koa at 7:05 AM. Cut to the tour itself….The bus that we were provided was a death trap. The suspension was shot so we bounced around all over the place. The emergency exit windows weren’t secured in place properly and were popping out of the frame. The tires were going bald and were cracked. That bus was not safe to be on the road in any situation. The driver, Leean was also unsafe and didn’t seem to keep the bus within the lanes on the way. Additionally she kept stating how much money things cost, pointing out million dollar homes with a “Them vs. Us” mentality that shouldn’t have been brought into a tour. There wasn’t much about the history of some of the stops, plus there were audio tap stops made that made the tour longer than needed. Not to mention that we could barely hear what she was saying over the rattling of the bus. She also almost left without some tour members. Others on the tour even opted to leave in an Uber along the way just with how the tour was being managed and the condition of the bus. We’re going to stay away from anything that Aloha Sunshine Tours does.

Tour itself seemed to follow the same route of other tours. The drawback was the driver/guide who was rude and not very informative throughout the tour. The guide either makes or breaks the tour and in this case he made it one of the worst tours I've been on.

Pick up waiting time is too long, ask us waiting outside on other hotel before 7:15 am, and actually pick up us after 8:30am. It is unacceptable,and not happy at all.

Auntie Kelly was a great tour guide. Wr had a great time.
