I was expecting that there would be more to see at Pachamac than there actually was. Mostly, you drive around a dirt loop road and look at mounds of dirt that may have archaeological items, but there is nothing to see because it has not yet been excavated. There was a regional power outage, so we did not get to see the museum. The heat was too excessive to walk around outside much. It was a long drive to/from Lima, all on a freeway, with not much to see.
Dear WS L, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not fully meet your expectations. Unfortunately, on the day of your visit, the Pachacamac Site Museum was affected by an unexpected regional power outage, which prevented visitors from enjoying one of the highlights of the archaeological complex. While this situation was beyond our control, we completely understand how it impacted your overall experience. Pachacamac is one of Peru's most important archaeological sites, offering visitors the opportunity to explore centuries of history in a vast ceremonial complex. We recognize that its open landscape and ongoing archaeological research may differ from what some travelers expect, and we always strive to provide detailed historical context to help bring the site to life. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, as it helps both us and future travelers better understand the experience. Thank you again for choosing us and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour during a future visit to Peru. Kind regards, Lima Highlights Tours
