We had an impromptu visit to Perugia and, as we hadn’t planned the trip, had no time to do any research beforehand. I knew very little about the town, so we purchased this tour as an easy way of seeing some of the sights without having to plan an itinerary ourselves. Firstly, you really need a good Wi-Fi connection to get the most from the tour, which we didn’t have, so we struggled a little. The app also didn’t work initially. However, after restarting it and entering the code again, it eventually started working. The tour took us to 10 locations. Four of these were in the same Piazza, so I did wonder whether there were other locations that could have been included to give us a broader feel for Perugia. I would imagine there are so many interesting sights spread throughout the historic centre? That said, the questions were easy enough to complete, and I can imagine this being particularly fun for families with younger children. It gives you something to look out for as you explore rather than simply walking around looking at the sights. It took us approximately 2.5 hours to complete, which was perfect for our visit and meant we got to see a good amount of the city without it taking up the whole day. Overall, it was a fun and easy way to explore Perugia when we hadn’t had the opportunity to research beforehand. Just make sure you have a good Wi-Fi connection before you start!
