Words cannot describe how amazing our tour guide Gabriella was. Her knowledge of Lisbon and surrounding cities was incredible. She took such good care of us that we felt like family at the end of the tour. Not a stone was left unturned as she literally showed us everything. If you ever have a chance to visit Lisbon (stopped on cruise ship, docked overnight) you must check out Picta Travel for your sightseeing needs. We communicated via Whatsapp prior to our arrival so there was no guess work and were super helpful every at every step. If I could give them a 10, I would.

A great first impression of Lisbon

Gabriela, our Spanish-speaking guide, was great in every way: punctual, knowledgeable about history, polite, adapted to our tastes, and the vehicle was impeccable.

Just do it! Private tour is the way to go.
Matheus our guide was amazing! He had an extensive knowledge of the areas we toured. He was very personable and made fantastic recommendations. We had the best parts of each location and seemed to avoid overly crowded or slow areas. It felt like a well thought out yet flexible day. He took us to a lovely restaurant with an incredible view and phenomenal food. He gave us several recommendations and we actually got three out of four that he suggested for lunch. He did not steer us wrong on anything! If you do this tour and you choose him make sure you take him up on his suggestions because they're all incredibly good. He definitely knows what he's doing and this was a phenomenal experience. Just do it! It is a little more pricey than a group tour but worth every penny!!!!!

Great Day!
Joao was amazing! He taught us so much about Portugal and world history. He showed us interesting sites, yummy food, and shopping spots! Our family enjoyed this tour immensely!

Informative and very fun Day!

Guide and host John Fernandes will give you the tour of Lisbon you will be thankful for.
Picta Travel is the BEST!!! John Fernandes was our guide and host for our 1st time visit to Lisbon. His knowledge of Portugal’s history was excellent and as a native to Lisbon he brought the cultural alive. We chose what we wanted to see for our private day tour from previewing YouTube’s but forget those YouTube videos and just spend a day with John. You will experience more and want to come back for another visit. He even told us about my ancestor’s history in the Portugal Azores islands and he was able to find Azores food for us to try too. After a day with John I feel a deeper love for my Portuguese heritage. Thank you John. Most importantly be sure to be open to John’s ideas and suggestions and you won’t be sorry.

Excellent tour & experience!
We had an excellent time with John F! He was incredibly knowledgeable- we saw all of the highlights and John knew the history of each area, structure, and overall history & culture of Lisbon. He took us to a locals’ restaurant where we were the only tourists & had an excellent meal. Highly recommend spending the day with John F!

Explore Lisbon At Your Own Pace
As frequent travelers who have taken many tours, we can confidently say this was the best tour experience we’ve ever had in Lisbon.
Gabriela was professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. The flexibility of the tour allowed us to explore the city at our own pace while still benefiting from her expert guidance. We were able to visit focal points in town and not killed our feet lol.
Thanks to Gabriela, our time in Lisbon was not only enjoyable but truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour to future travelers. It’s an excellent value and an experience not to be missed.
