We had a fantastic day, the crew were great and looked after us well. Whitehaven beach was beautiful with its soft white sands and clear water. The lunch provided was also delicious and plenty of it. We did get a bit wet on the boat ride but that is all about the fun going on a speed boat. I would highly recommend this day trip
the staff was super friendly, taking time to stop to see different animals during the trip and giving maximum support to the passengers the boat was phenomenal and the stops were fantastic
Whitehaven Beach was absolutely worth the trip. The sand, the water, the whole place feels like paradise. There was something so peaceful and soul-filling about simply being on that beach, taking it all in. And the views over the inlet were breathtaking. One of those places that is even more beautiful in person than you imagine.
Thank you all for a truly wonderful day cruise out to Whitsunday Island. We landed on an island and walked up to some viewing points and saw the most fantastic colours towards Whitehaven Beach. Then we walked out to the beach and had a swim! Next we went snorkling and got kitted out with fins, life-jackets if you wanted one and anti-sting suits, everything service provided! The coral was beautiful and the sea was calm so it was a great experience. On the return we saw whales, how special was that! We had great food all day, lunch was amazing with so much variety, catering for everyone. Drinks available all day and alcohol only available after snorkling. Great responsibility to the crew! Thoroughly recommended 10/10
The staff was friendly and caring, the food was yummy. It was a great experience. Travel with friends family or solo you will not regret ,, great one wanna do it again
1st snorkeling stop average Lunch stop + beach ok 3rd stop: we could just do this last one and stay much longer! Afterward, I find it childish to tell us how to put on a mask and snorkel! Expensive as hell
Already left a google review for a previous time we came, so it wouldn’t let me do it again. But just wanted to say a big thank you to Bella and Skippy for today for making our trip good. My parents are very difficult to get them to do outdoorsy things and Bella made it so much easier for them so just wanted to say a big thank you to her. Would recommend the tour
While the staff sat behind a plastic cover protected, the entire boat was shivering and soaking wet. the Whitsundays islands are gorgeous and the big fury boat may be fun in the summer, it should not be used in the winter. It’s like riding a jet ski for 90min, you will be soaking wet, and when it is cold, high winds and raining- it’s makes for a miserable day.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the weather conditions impacted your enjoyment of the day. Big Fury is an open speedboat, and while many guests choose us specifically for the exciting, fast-paced ride, it does mean that on days with strong winds or rain, the journey can be wet and bumpy. As the forecast was predicting these conditions, we emailed all guests the day before departure advising that the ride was likely to be wet and windy. We also offered the option to reschedule to another day or cancel before our 24-hour cancellation period, and provided a list of recommended items to bring, including warm clothing for the boat ride. The return journey was particularly exposed as we were travelling into the wind and tide, which unfortunately made the conditions rougher and cooler than earlier in the day. Our skipper and crew remain outside with guests throughout the trip, and while they do have a small protective screen around the helm to safely operate the vessel, they are still exposed to the wind, spray and weather for the entire day. We're pleased to hear you thought the Whitsunday Islands were beautiful, and we appreciate your comments. While Big Fury may not suit everyone's preferred style of touring in challenging weather, many guests enjoy the adventure that comes with travelling on an open speedboat. The organization is excellent, well-oiled, and well-paced. The skipper has a great sense of humor, just like the crew. The meal is of good quality and in sufficient quantity to feed teenagers... In short, I recommend it.
