It was a great experience! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. A super nice team on site who accompanied the morning great. A clear recommendation!
thanks for your nice comment it was a pleasure to have you
It was a wonderful experience ! Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this. Our involvement in feeding, milking... and cuddling with the goats will always find a top spot in our memories.
We visited the farm earlier this year and decided to book the course for our next visit in October. We enjoyed every minute of the visit! This program was one of the highlights of our stay in Fuerteventura. Our hosts were lovely and we really enjoyed interacting with the four-legged residents. We took home our very first handmade cheeses which were of excellent quality :) Thank you very much for the enjoyable workshop!
Amazing! So happy to have found such an authentic local experience. I love learning about a place through their food traditions, and this didnt disappoint! Beautiful cheese, happy goats, and a lovely family fun dairy.
We booked this last minute but was so glad we did, it was a real highlight of our holiday It was only our family of three on the tour (2 adults and 1 thirteen year old) so it was a very personalised workshop. Our guide, Elaine, was fantastic and very informative. We got to milk and feed the goats before turning the milk into cheese. This was then followed by a delicious breakfast which even our picky teen couldn't find fault with!! Overall a great experience and highly recommended.
I did this today with my son. We had a really good time. Quality time met ons 2. An experience to remember. I hope to be able to do this again with him next year. 😍
Wow! Thanks to Elaine, the whole team and the lovely goats for a great morning! We fed the goats, milked them by hand, connected them to the milking machine and gave the kids the bottle. The whole thing was rounded off by interesting explanations and we were also able to ask many questions. We were also allowed to shape our fresh goat cheese and take it home. Very clear recommendation for all who not only want to watch, but also want to get involved! A very special and beautiful experience.
We had a fantastic morning at la Casa del Queso! Elaine and the team (including the goats) were amazing and we had so much fun. One of the most enjoyable and hands on experiences we've ever done, and you get to leave with your own handmade cheese! Couldn't recommend this highly enough
We have visited the cheesemaking just couple of days ago. Unforgettable experience. We were greeted by Elaine who guided us through the day. She created very warm and relaxed atmosphere. We were able to visit all groups of goats 🐐 at the farm: expectant mothers and the goats who had recently had babies and (the highlight!!!) the baby goats themselves 😇. We were made a part of every process at the farm: milking goats, and yes we all had our chances to practice properly, by hands and using machine; we fed animals, we were able to pet them, spend plenty of time with them. We got to see cheesemaking process and had wonderful breakfast in between. The promise was that we will spend 2,5 hours, but in fact we had almost 4 hours and absolutely did not feel rushed. All necessary clothing protection was provided, like shoes cover and aprons, however i would recommend to wear something you dont mind washing. The goat babies are soo cute and they can get all over you, which was the best part of visit for us, but they can be a bit messy 🙃. Overall it we had the most amazing time and would highly recommend to everyone.
Fabulous morning! Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking to experience an authentic slice of life on Fuerteventura. Elaine is a great guide and made it all so easy. Everyone we met was so proud of the goats and the farm and enthusiastic about showing us what to do (and very patient!).
