I had two great group surf lessons at Surf Life Tenerife with a mixed group of surfers, ranging from complete beginners to intermediate surfers. As an intermediate surfer myself, I really appreciated how the lessons helped me develop my skills further. The team was super helpful over WhatsApp, helping me find the best match between the surf forecast and our family calendar. Arriving at the shop before the lessons, everything was well organised while still having that relaxed, friendly vibe you would expect from a surf school. The equipment was well used but in good condition and worked perfectly. They also had plenty of boards in different sizes to make sure everyone got the right one. Each lesson started with a short warm-up onshore, followed by the instructor asking everyone individually what they wanted to work on. He then provided constructive advice and feedback before we headed into the water. In the water, the instructor was fantastic — professional and knowledgeable, yet relaxed and easygoing at the same time! Besides helping beginners catch their very first waves, he also supported the intermediate surfers by guiding us into the right position to catch waves, observing our technique and providing helpful feedback. Surf Life Tenerife maintains a minimum ratio of one instructor per six surfers, which helps ensure everyone gets individual attention. All in all, a fantastic surf experience with a great crew, a relaxed atmosphere and genuinely useful coaching. Highly recommended for surfers of different skill levels!

After spending a while researching various surf schools options in Tenerife that offer beginner-friendly group lessons and transfers, I was really pleased to find Surf Life Tenerife and had a great few days learning with Danny and his fantastic team, Tommy and Guillermo. They were super friendly, great communication and made booking really simple. Would definitely recommend having lessons with them.

Guille our instructor, Giulia, Mari-Louisa, and Andy for the welcome and advice, were all wonderful during our 4 days (4 sessions) of surfing. We were a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens, intermediate level). Everyone progressed thanks to Guille's constant good humor and permanent encouragement. The choice of spots based on the tides and ocean conditions, and the positioning in the water to be placed on less crowded peaks were perfect, even essential for stress-free surfing. Besides great encounters far from localism, the equipment is high-quality, adapted, and scalable according to the offerings (soft boards and hard boards). A big thank you to the entire SURF LIFE team! A sure bet for fun family surfing.

I can't speak more highly of Surf Life Tenerife! I've taken lessons all over the world (Lombok, Algarves, Costa Rica, etc.), and as a beginner trying to get into the intermediate group, it's important for me to find schools with good instructors (or it just reinforces bad habits and makes surfing frustrating), and I feel like I became a significantly better surfer over 3 days, learning how to read the waves and figure out which wave to take, and I was finally getting up on the board by myself consistently without a push! Tommy is an amazing instructor - super encouraging and giving good tips and pointers. I feel like I built up a lot of confidence in my surfing skills during this surfing holiday. The communication to book my private and group lessons were easy, and everyone at Surf Life Tenerife was so nice and friendly. Surfing with this school really made my experience in Tenerife memorable.

Simply fantastic surf week! I took lessons with Guille and he was an exceptional instructor. He helped me a lot to improve my paddling, posture, mobility on the board, and above all, confidence in catching waves. He was always kind, friendly, and professional, and we really had a lot of fun during the lessons. I also did surfskate with him: he corrected my mistakes immediately and, incredibly, in just two lessons I improved a lot! He explains clearly, puts you at ease, and helps you make progress very quickly. I also had a few lessons with Thomas, also super prepared, who gave me other truly valuable technical tips. It is not easy to find a school with such qualified, attentive, and passionate instructors. You can see that they love what they do and transmit enthusiasm in every lesson. I absolutely recommend this school to anyone who wants to start surfing or improve their level.

What an amazing surf shop! We spent two weeks surfing in Tenerife and tried several surf schools, but Surf Life was by far the best! All of the instructors were incredibly helpful, patient, and always made sure everyone felt supported. A special thanks to Giulio and Dani – they have so much experience and a great eye for detail. Thanks to them, we learned so much in just six days of surfing and had an incredible time riding the waves. A huge thank you to the entire Surf Life team!
